Story
Meet Bunny. She is a miniature poodle that came to us from a commercial breeder. She is about 7 years old and weighs about 17 lbs. Bunny is on the more scared side, like a typical puppy mill dog. She is making some progress in her foster home. Bunny will do best in a home with another friendly small dog and a fenced in yard.  Bunny will need work on housebreaking. She has now been spayed and had a dental cleaning. Bunny is up to date with vaccines, microchipped and tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $300.00. Story
Meet Brandy!  She is a 9 year old, 10 lb Apricot miniature poodle.  She and her sister Becky have spent their lives in the care of a breeder.  Their working days are now over and they are in a wonderful foster home where they are learning to be pets.  Brandy is reserved but not scared.  You can see her sweetness in her little face and eyes.  She is adjusting well to life in a home and gets along well with everyone.  Brandy loves to be outside taking in all the smells and relaxing in the sun.  She quickly learned the doggie door and can go in and out when she needs to.  This is definitely helping with her house manners.  Brandy cuddles with her sister and is starting to enjoy life.  She has a soft bed to lay in and lots of love coming her way.  She just needs a person or couple that will be patient and help her to adjust to all the new things she will be experiencing.  She is learning that riding in the car is not a bad thing and working on walking on a leash.  (That might take a bit.)  With lots of love and attention Brandy will turn into a loyal and loving companion.  Will that be with you.  Brandy has been spayed and is current on all shots, heartworm negative and microchipped.  To be considered for her forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Brandy is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)August 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
This sweet little 8 1/2 lb girl is called Bonnie and her story is so very sad but happening way too many times these days. She is in a very small town of Tennessee and recently lost her mom and the family wanted nothing to do with her precious little 6-year-old poodle called Bonnie. So, what did they do, but put her outside on a tie out and pay no attention to her. She soon became sunburned, matted and full of fleas. She also developed an extreme sadness and fearful nature as she felt the vulnerability of being tied out on a stake. A good neighbor came to her rescue and took her to a groomer to have her shaved down. The groomer was mortified to see the condition that this precious little girl Poodle was in. She decided to not return her to the neighbor and it was in full agreement that she would take over care of this pitiful little girl. Critter Cavalry quickly took her to their vet and she will also be receiving a dental in the next 5 days. You see h mmer throat was swollen from drainage due to bad teeth, but other than that, she passed all health tests such as heartworm and parasites and worms. She will one day be restored to a beautiful soul inside and out. Today she looks fragile and we know her spirit has been beaten down and challenged. But she will survive because we will find someone to love her unconditionally and treat her like the Princess she's always meant to be. If you would like to adopt this precious girl please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
Hello, my name is: TangoDOB: 06/22/2018Sex/Breed: Neutered male Miniature PoodleWeight: 14.5 lbsFriends: Adults, dogs, cats (kids unknown)Traits: Shy, sweet, attentiveRescued from: Breeding kennelMeet Tango! The transition from kennel to couch was a bit stressful for Tango and he mostly kept to himself in his foster home. Having other dogs around is what he is used to, and his foster sisters have really helped him start to feel comfortable. We will be looking for a home with a canine companion for him so he can continue to come out of his shell. He didn't seem to mind the cats we introduced him to, so he could move into a home with kitty friends. Tango is shy, especially in new situations, but in time we know he'll settle in and feel safe. He is a total sweetheart and doesn't seem to have a mean bone in his body. We can tell he wants to trust and be the loyal companion he should have been all his life. He seems very smart and eager to please. In a quieter home we have no doubt Tango will flourish! He is already starting to play with toys and sleeps like a rock all through the night. Please help us find this handsome little guy the forever home he so desperately deserves!Help us continue to step up for dogs like Tango and consider donating towards their medical care: https://secure.givelively.org/donate/all-4-paws-rescueAll our dogs are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Story
Hey there! I'm Claire, or Claire Bear as my foster mom likes to call me. I am the most beautiful 3 year old Shichon (Shitzu and Bichon). I was released by a commercial breeder with my 10 week old puppy Ivan. Ivan has been adopted and I am so excited to find my forever home! Presently, I'm being fostered with a gaggle of small dog friends, young and old, male and female. Although I get along with everyone, I most love my foster mom. I would love a home where my mom is retired or works from home. I like to sit close by and oversee things. Of course, I also like to help with the chores, like laundry; those socks are my favorite;) I am curious about everything and think I belong everywhere lol. I hear foster mom frequently calling my name and asking me what I'm doing. I absolutely love running around the yard and exploring! I travel well in the car and I'd love to run errands with my forever mom. At night, I love sleeping in the bed with foster mom but I understand that sometimes, during the day, I must be in a crate to keep me safe while foster mom can't be there with me. I take awhile to warm up to strangers but once we've built trust, I am as loyal as they come. My forever family needs to be patient with me and understand it likely won't be love at first sight. I'm more looking for that committed love where we take things slow, learn about each other and forge a strong bond that will endure a lifetime. That kind of relationship is worth waiting for. Until I know I can trust you, I will be a flight risk, and therefore foster mom says that my forever home must have a fenced in yard. A confident resident dog would help me to adjust to my forever home. I'm doing well with house-training but regression in a new environment is common. I haven't been around kids but I would think that older, respectful dog savvy kids would be kinda fun. I am around 15 pounds. I've been spayed and microchipped. I'm up to date on my shots. So now, I'm just looking for my forever! Could that be you? If so, apply here https://www.zoeshouserescue.com/adopt Claire is being fostered in Collegeville, Montgomery County, and all prospective adopters with pets should be prepared to visit her for a meet and greet. Required by law: Zoes House, Inc Kennel license # 9117 PO Box 2372 Reading PA 19608
