Story
🐩 Hello, I’m Gabi, the 4-year-old white Poodle with a gentle soul and a heart that’s ready to love. 🌸 🏥 Rescue Story & Journey: I come from a place where I wasn’t given the care I deserved, but I’ve been rescued and I’m learning to trust again. On March 9, 2024, I had surgery to amputate my right hind leg, but don’t worry, I’m hopping along just fine now! 🦴❤️ 🌈 Personality: I’m a bit of a wallflower, taking my time to bloom around new friends. Give me about a week, and I’ll show you the warmth of my affection. 🌟 🐾 Likes: • Peaceful strolls and feeling the grass under my paws (well, three of them!) 🌿 • Quiet time after a little adventure outside 🏞️ • Being around my doggy friends who give me confidence 🐕‍🦺 🏡 Home Life: I’m a lady of grace, preferring to do my business outside and staying serene in my kennel. 🚫 A Little Note: I’m still learning to walk on a leash and might be wary at first, but patience is key. I’m not quite ready to play with little humans yet, as they’re new to me. 🔊 One More Thing: I might give a little bark at strangers – it’s just my way of saying “hello” from a distance. 💖 Looking for: A family that understands my need for a gentle introduction to love and life. If you have a soft spot for a three-legged friend with a big heart, I’m the one for you! Let’s take our time getting to know each other and build a bond that’s as strong as my spirit. 🐩💕 Tail wags and puppy kisses, Gabi 🐾💌

Story
Animal Profile: Ramen is an estimated 4 year old 15 lb neutered male miniature poodle who was a hot mess when he was pulled from the Carson shelter. He was at risk due to overcrowding but assessed to be friendly with people and dogs. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care.    Foster Update: Ramen is a cool little cup of noodles! He has been a quick study in foster care and is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on leash. He loves to work and train and is very smart. He catches on to new commands quickly. Ramen would do best in an adult only household, as it takes him time to warm up to strangers and he is more trusting of female companions. He has showed a little resource guarding when it comes to removing high value toys from his possession, but his trainer is working on tackling that behavior. Ramen is dog friendly, and would be best matched with a similar sized female dog his age.   Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.   Apply online at  www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: Ramen was surrendered to Carson city shelter and transported to Dog Gone Seattle via Wiggle Butts arriving to foster care on 5/19/24; he will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. August 19, 2024, 12:18 am

Story
Animal Profile: Dolly was surrendered to our rescue partners in San Bernardino after her owner was sited for having too many dogs on their property. She is friendly with people and other dogs, and did well for vetting and grooming appointments. We look forward to helping her find a family in the PNW! Foster Update:  This little pup is about 8lbs of complete sweetness!  Dolly  is gentle, a bit timid but getting bolder and more confident every day.  For  Dolly , house training has not been an issue.  We are consistent with trips to the yard and use of the crate. We have had near perfection!  Additionally, she does well in the crate. While she isn’t a huge fan, she settles down quickly and sleeps quietly in it each night.  She has been successful around my dog savvy, 5 year old grandson but is definitely skittish and avoids more than interacts with him. At this point, since sudden movements and loud noises are bothersome, I would not recommend families with toddlers or children under 8. A canone companion might help  Dolly  adapt more quickly to a new family. She bonded almost immediately with my golden retriever and tends to follow him wherever he goes.    Dolly  is doing well on leash however loud noises and “surprise” activity tends to startle her. Each walk she becomes a little more comfortable in her surroundings and at ease with the process. Time and continued exposure will most certainly resolve her concerns and allow her to thoroughly enjoy these outings.   When  Dolly  isn’t hanging out with the golden, she is truly happy sitting next to me on the couch or lying on a blanket at my feet.  I know she will provide a lot of company for her new family and bring many smiles to their faces. Who doesn’t love a little dog who “dances” for treats? Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was an intercepted shelter surrender in San Bernardino. Arriving  to Seattle area foster care on 08/04/24. She will be available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.August 19, 2024, 12:18 am

Story
Animal Profile: Khan was surrendered to our rescue partners in San Bernardino after they were cited for having too many dogs on their property. He is friendly with people and other dogs, and did well for vetting and grooming appointments. Khan had to have 18 teeth pulled when the vet discovered they were in terrible shape. He is eating and drinking well, and this should not affect his health in the long run. We look forward to helping him find a family in the PNW! Foster Update: Khan is a pretty chill little guy that loves his crate, snuggling up once he gets to know you, and being a part of his foster family's day-to-day lives. Khan has taken a liking to the little girl in his foster family, and is happy to be held and petted by her. He is a little wary of the adult male Husky in the home, but there have not been any problems between them. Khan was recently neutered, and showed interest in marking several times since his arrival. He was easy to stop, but is currently wearing a belly band until the urge subsides. Khan is a sweet little guy that will make a wonderful companion for one lucky family. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Story
Animal Profile: Shiloh is a 2 year old, 10lb poodle/terrier mix. She was surrendered to our rescue partner in Texas because she kept ‘getting away’ from their unfenced yard and they didn’t have a way to contain her. Shiloh is friendly with dogs, cats and kids. We know she’ll find her family quickly in the PNW! . Foster Update: Shiloh is the sweetest pup and has been so fun to foster! She has a happy go lucky personality and her favorite things to do are play and go for walks. When she sees her leash, she instantly starts jumping up and down!  Shiloh is potty trained, gets along well with other dogs and is a very respectful house guest. She has not chewed on anything or gotten into anything she's not supposed to. She also is a great work from home buddy as she will just lay right by your feet and is very quiet.  Shiloh is not a big fan of her crate and has a bit of separation anxiety when I leave her at home. We are working on getting her more comfortable with her crate. She does ok on a leash but likes to walk in all different directions so we are working on that as well. Shiloh loves to be right by your side so if you're looking for a small pup to tag along with you, Shiloh could be your new best friend! She loves meeting new people and exploring outside. Shiloh can't wait to meet her forever family! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from  Animal Advocacy & Rescue our partner in Del Rio Texas and arriving via Paws Up Rescue on 08/12/2024 to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.August 19, 2024, 12:18 am

Story
Meet Qq 🫶 Qq was rescued from an illicit breeding farm in Goyang. She must have spent a long time in that environment where she had to stand with her toes spread wide to resist her feet from sliding into the floating cage and where all of feces, hairs, and dust were piled up beneath the floating cage, and the ammonia stench burned in her eyes. Qq's life is just now getting to normal, and is expected to be happier and healthier soon! * Toward People: Loves people! She is an adorable dog who wags her tail and pushes her head against people to indicate that she wants to be touched more. * Toward Dogs: Got along nicely with other dogs who shared the floating cage. Other from that, she didn't directly meet any other dog companions. * Potty Training: Training is required for indoor potty. Special Note * Tooth scaling is required due to extensive tooth loss and tartar.
