Small but mighty, he`s a dog with opinions and he`s not shy about sharing them. He will need a dog savvy, adult only home who is familiar with working on resource guarding issues. He has done well with other dogs his size at the shelter. With boundaries and structure we are sure he will blossom into a wonderful companion for the right home. Benny weighs 15 pounds.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This resilient poodle born around 10/2/2017 has been through a lot but is now ready for a loving home. Found on the streets with one of the worst cases of matting we’ve ever seen, his hair was so long it touched the ground. Sadly, neighborhood kids threw rocks at him as he ran through the streets, terrified and alone. It took an experienced trapper to safely bring him to our facility, where he arrived shaking and too scared to be touched by anyone. However, with time, patience, and care, he has blossomed into a wonderful companion. He now enjoys daily walks, loves being pet, gets the excitement zoomies, and gets along well with other dogs. He is a laid-back boy who especially gets excited for his leash time, happily joining other dogs on walks. Due to his past, he will need a home to give him patience to gain his trust. Once he has your trust, he will be your shadow and want nothing but love. He seems to be potty/house trained, as he will wait to use the bathroom when he gets walked. Fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, this sweet poodle is ready to find his forever home. His adoption fee is $300. Marley weighs around 20 pounds.   Could you be the one to give him the love he deserves?  Marley is currently in Texas, but transport is available to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, or anywhere along the East Coast. Please note that an additional transport fee of $225 applies. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 1, 2025, 1:17 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Salty Dog was found on the street. He is very scared and still unsure of people. He will need someone with a lot of time and patience to allow him the time and space he needs to start trusting you. Salty Dog will need a secure fenced in yard where he can be safe as he is learning to trust people. He would do best in a quieter home with 2 or fewer dogs so he can get the attention he needs. Would not be good in an apartment. Salty Dog is $400 to adopt, about 18 pounds, and 3 years old. He is located in TX and not available for out of state adoption.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 31, 2025, 5:45 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Ramen is an estimated 4 year old 15 lb neutered male miniature poodle who was a hot mess when he was pulled from the Carson shelter. He was at risk due to overcrowding but assessed to be friendly with people and dogs. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care.    Foster Update: Ramen is a cool little cup of noodles! He has been a quick study in foster care and is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on leash. He loves to work and train and is very smart. He catches on to new commands quickly. Ramen would do best in an adult only household, as it takes him time to warm up to strangers and he is more trusting of female companions. He has shown a tendency to resource guard when it comes to removing high value toys from his possession, but his trainer is working on tackling that behavior. Ramen is dog friendly, and would be best matched with a similar sized female dog his age. Ramen has had a lot of interest from families wanting a lap dog; he prefers to show affection through play and is not a couch potato. Ramen needs an owner comfortable addressing his guarding behaviors, willing to continue exercising his body and his mind, and able to commit to the grooming needs of his coat.    Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.   Apply online at  www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: Ramen was surrendered to Carson city shelter and transported to Dog Gone Seattle via Wiggle Butts arriving to foster care on 5/19/24; he will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. March 7, 2025, 2:05 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Walter is an approximately 2 year old, 16 lb male poodle mix who was originally rescued from San Bernardino, CA. He was adopted and returned back to us when his family could no longer care for him.  Foster Update: Walter is a sweet and cuddly boy with big eyes and a playful personality that will melt your heart. He's food motivated, which comes in handy for his training, including leash training. He continues to improve on the leash, although he still pulls a bit when he locks in on a scent or sees another pup. Walter is most vocal when barking at other dogs, especially when he and his foster bump into them rounding a corner on their walks, but his reactivity is improving every day. He is potty and crate trained -- he just gets a little whiny when he first goes in his crate and when he wakes up in the morning. He knows several tricks and commands, including "roll over," "paw," "down," and "sit." He rarely barks in the home, and when he does it's to get your attention so you'll play with him. Walter is quite active and loves his walks. He gets very excited to go out and jumps impressively high, but quickly calms down with the right guidance from his foster. He also loves playing fetch with his toys. But he's also a velcro dog who loves nothing more than being near and cuddling with his human. He's the perfect little sidekick.  While Walter is very affectionate with his foster family, he takes some time to warm up to new people, and he doesn't appreciate strangers trying to pet him. It's important that his forever family can advocate for him when out in public or around new people, as it can be stressful for him to feel like he always has to stand up for his needs. Walter is very smart and may test boundaries within the home or be a bit vocal or mouthy to communicate. It's important that his family can set clear boundaries so he knows what behaviors are and aren't allowed. The more Walter has clear expectations and is advocated for, the more he can thrive. Since he can be mouthy, we are looking for an adult-only home for him. Adoption Info:  Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was surrendered to the San Bernardino City shelter on Jan 26 and transferred to Dog Gone Seattle arriving to foster care on Feb 4, 2024. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.March 13, 2025, 7:21 pm

Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!!  My name is Frankie  from Korea and I am a special needs dog who is nearly blind with no teeth. I am a wonderful approx.8 yr old  male poodle and I weigh about 10 lbs.  I am so excited to find my new forever home.  I am a friendly boy who was saved from a Korean Puppy Farm.  I was rescued with 74 others by local activists that were shocked and cried at the conditions we were in. I was scared and only known life  in a small cage.  I know I’m not a puppy but still have many years left.  I just want a chance to be part of a family, someone to love and care for me.  Lots of us had to have our teeth removed because of the horrible things we were fed and lots of us tried to chew the bars that snapped our teeth.  I know I’m tiny and not a puppy, but I have a big heart and lots of life to live, so PLEASE give me a chance.  Korea kills estimated  1.5 -2 million dogs a year to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1,495 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.  The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.   A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us.  W e do not guarantee breed and  age.   Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  Please e-mail " sian@gingerspetrescue.org " for an adoption application. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi, my name is George and I a m a wonderful 7 year-old male Poodle, weighing in at just 7 lbs.   I was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in Korea, where dogs like me endure unimaginable cruelty and hardship. Thankfully, compassionate rescuers saved me and gave me the chance to experience something I’d never known before, hope.  I’m a gentle and affectionate companion who loves being around people, including kind children. I get along well with other dogs and would enjoy a family who can shower me with attention and affection.  I’d do best in a home with a family who understands that rescued dogs need patience and time to adjust.  We recommend working with our skilled pet rescue trainer. My adoption fee of  $995 (tax-deductible and essential for supporting future rescues) c  overs Spay/Neuter.    DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations,  Deworming and Heartworm testing,  Microchipping,  Boarding fees, health certificate, and airline transport from Korea to Seattle.    For safety, all adopted dogs must have a GPS tracker or Apple Air Tag.
