Story
Highlights: -Needs a confident canine sibling-Needs a fenced yard-Needs a patient, experienced adopter Hi, I'm Sam, a six-year-old male miniature schnauzer weighing 13 pounds. I'm a rather shy guy, unsure about human interaction and touch. I prefer calm environments and canine playmates, as I can get overwhelmed by places that are too loud or busy.I need a home that is quiet and patient, one that will allow me to develop trust in humans and learn that gentle touch and loving hearts are good things. I don't know how to walk on a leash yet, but once I learn, I'll likely enjoy daily walks. Having a confident friend in my adopted home would help me grow in confidence and learn what it's like to be in a loving, safe home. Are you the patient and loving family who can help me blossom? Let's take this journey together and create a lifetime of trust and happiness.- - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience. Story
Cece is 100% puppy! She is excitable one moment and will melt into your arms the next. Cece is intelligent, attentive, and eager to please. She enjoys running around, playing with toys, getting her neck scratched, and exploring new places, and she can be quite silly at times!A typical puppy, Cece has lots of energy and can be mouthy when she is very excited, so she'll need an owner who can provide her with training and guidance so she can become the best girl she can be. Cece loves treats, and since she's still a young puppy and very smart, we have no doubt that she will learn new things pretty quickly! If you're interesting in adding Cece to your family, please call TCRAS at (719) 686 7707 to set up an appointment! This sweet, excitable girl is ready to go home!
