FAST FACTS:*3 years old - 16 Pounds*Enjoys Sitting Outside and Being Close to His Person*Dog Friendly - All Sizes*Crate Trained*Working on Potty Training*Quiet, Adult-Only Home*Training RequiredBIO:Hi, future family! My name is Darius, and I am ready to find out what love and comfort feels like after my previous life of horrible neglect. I was rescued from a puppy mill operation, where I was kept in a small crate my entire life; I never experienced kindness from people or any affection and I will thrive with patient people who will help me blossom and learn what life should really be. My ideal home will be a quiet one with adults; I can be initially timid with men, but once I know you are a safe person I love to be near you like a shadow and I also enjoy lounging outside in the grass with you (I never felt grass before, and boy is it niiice!) It would also be a nice bonus to have another doggie pal to follow around. I get along great with dogs of all sizes. I am learning lots and experiencing so many fun things for the first time thanks to my friends at Fetching Tails, and my adopters will need to sign me up for training classes so I can work on my socialization skills and gain even more confidence. I am already crate trained and potty training is a work in progress; I am also working on my leash-walking skills and would love to learn even more. Are you the special person who could show me the good life and pamper me with all the love I have always dreamed about? I hope you fill out an adoption application soon; I have a feeling we are going to have an incredible life together! If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Story
Best Buddy seeking companion!  This handsome fella is FLINT, a 6-7 year old Chihuahua/Terrier mix who weighs about 7-8 pounds. He is a very small pup with a big personality. Flint is very loyal to his person and would love to share the couch with you or hang out on your lap. Flint enjoys a quiet household where he can cuddle with his human. He is great on a leash so he’s able to go for short walks but he also enjoys having a fenced yard to run and play in. Flint will sometimes play with toys in the house but he especially likes his chew bones, and laying on the back of his couch so he can keep watch. While in foster care, we have learned that Flint is not comfortable with noise and chaos so we’re requiring an adult-only household for him. Additionally, after witnessing him around other dogs in his foster home, it’s best that he be the your one and only pet so he can receive the attention he craves. He’s a very devoted, sweet pup with his person. This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, tested for diseases, provided inoculations, been dewormed, neutered, and microchipped. ADOPTION APPLICATIONS are available upon request from acaringplace@comcast.net.   Our online application isn’t working correctly so please contact us so we can send a copy via email to you. A Caring Place - All Breed Dog Rescue adopts throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area. All dogs and puppies live in foster homes, providing you as the adopter, with information on the animal's behaviors, needs, and requirements. We are always in search of fosters care providers. If you are one of those special people willing to open your heart and home to an animal in need and would like to receive information on how you can foster an animal, please contact us.     January 5, 2025, 3:33 am
