Home Visit: We conduct home visits to ensure it's a good fit for everyone, including existing pets. Fenced Yard: Lucy needs a safe space to play and run, and a fenced yard is essential. We do not allow tethering or constant leashing. Not home all day alone: Lucy is not in a position to be crated all day; she needs human companionship and training. We understand these requirements might seem strict, but they're in place because Lucy deserves stability and a home where she can thrive. Hi, my name is Pokey.  I came all the way from Texas because I heard of "Minnesota Nice".  Well, when I got here, the first thing they did was neuter me and pull all my teeth! I do have to admit though that now my mouth no longer hurts and I really enjoy the yummy, soft food they’re feeding me.  I’m a little shy when I first meet new people but if you have a comfortable lap to offer me it won't take me long to warm up to you.  I am also ok with other dogs but prefer human company.  If you’re looking for a dog to go on long walks with, that’s not me but if you like to hang out at home and just spend time together, I’m definitely your guy.  A quiet home where I can just relax and get petted all day long would probably be my preference.  I am still working on potty training and am using pee pads in the meantime.  Do you have a spot on the couch for me that I can claim? 

Sofe is a well behaved, very intelligent Schnauzer who enjoys being with people and is the perfect lap dog. She even enjoys watching tv! She is kenneled at night, which she enjoys-it gives her security

Bonnie is a Puppy Mill Mama who came to Rescue in February, 2024. No doubt, she produced dozens of beautiful puppies in her 7 years of life but at a cost. Bonnie had never walked on grass or been outside, had never been introduced to affection so the world outside a kennel was a very scary place for her. Bonnie now enjoys the company of her foster humans and will more frequently go potty outside when she has the opportunity. She's ready to find a home that can continue teaching her about love and that SHE has value, just for who she is, not how much money her puppies cost. Bonnie is a Mini Schnauzer and is dog friendly. She requires a fenced yard so she can safely explore the world. She is Spayed, up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi I’m Mateo!  I’m a handsome scruffy little lady who is looking for a family of my very own.  I came here from a shelter in Arkansas where I found myself when my owner passed away.  I wasn’t there too long before I came to MN where I found myself in a foster home.  It took me a bit to open up to my new foster.  I was sad and confused since I had lost my home and owner.  I was lucky though that I got to come here with my brother, Dirk.  I don’t need to be adopted with him, but if you have room in your heart I’d certainly love to be adopted with him.  Bonus: I am crate, leash, AND potty trained! I don't need a fenced in yard, but sure would love it if you had it! When we meet I’m shy with new people and need a bit to warm up.  Once I trust you though then I’m a happy lady who likes to dance and give you my bestest smile!  My former owner taught me that when it’s time to be picked up you turn around and look over your shoulder so you can easily be picked up.  I can be playful with my brother, but I tend not to play with the other fosters here.  It’s not that I don’t like them, I just kinda do my own thing.  I don’t really care about toys, but I do enjoy food and treats.  I’d love a calm home with no kids where I can lounge around in peace and watch the world out the window and just lay by your feet.  I’m small and don’t take up much room other than a big space in your heart. Welcome Boscoe to CCPAL Rescue. Boscoe is a 2-year-old Cairn Terrier mix with maybe Schnauzer. He is a lower energy and a little shy. His teeth are white and clean as his adult teeth haven’t been in too long. He is good on a leash and bigger than the other two at 15 pounds. He has nice long legs so he would be a great walking companion. He is very content being beside someone and doesn’t have to be in your lap. He came from a homeless person that had about 6 dogs. The homeless person had rescued all as strays. A good Samaritan stepped up to help and called CCPAL Rescue. CCPAL took in all the homeless person’s dogs except one she wanted to keep. We will be vaccinating them and spaying them to get them ready for their forever home. This boy is not a shedding dog and is very very affectionate. He would probably look Schnauzer if he had the cut. His coat is a little course and not as soft as the schnauzer coat. He would be fine around kids but I think her best home would be with a home that someone wants a lap dog and a quieter home. He would be a great one or two person dog. He will be great company and will not require too much exercise. A small condo type yard would work for him. He is good in a crate and with other dogs. He is more vocal than his sister Merry. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transportation fee is $200.
