Story
Lucille is very smart and always wants to be by her human’s side. She curls up next to you to watch tv or take a nap, you will never be alone. Always sweet and loyal, Lucille loves endless belly and ear rubs, cuddles and snuggling. She will push her head into your chest and melt against you. Lucille is a very active dog that loves zoomies, playing fetch with tennis balls, going on walks and car rides. A perfect companion for long road trips or exploring the outdoors. Lucille is a wiggle butt fanatic when excited (especially for treats). She needs plenty of playtime in a fenced-in yard to burn off energy. She is still learning manners for jumping up and being vocal. She will do best in a home with older children or adults who can handle her energy levels. She is also a huge napper! Lucille is great with submissive dogs and 99% trained (she will go to the door to be let out).

Story
Hi I'm Oscar! My brother Rocky and sister Missy are also here at the Ark with me. We're lucky that we have each other to play with, and we sure do love to play! But the truth is, we really all want our own home and family to grow up with. I'm shy at first because I wasn't around people much when I was little, but once I get to know you, I'm a big playful wanna-be lap dog! I just need a little time to warm up before I get my playful gear in motion. I love to spend time with the volunteers, and go for walks and play and I love meeting and playing with other dogs too! *The Adoption fee for Oscar is reduced/covered by adoption sponsorship donations When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, and the most guesses were that I'm a Cur mix, but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! And if you don't know what a Cur is - you sure have been missing out, good thing you found me because we're awesome dogs!! Check this out (from Google): Are cur dogs good family pets? Cur: Dog Breed Characteristics & Care Their energy, intelligence, and tenacity make them loyal workers and companions, while their desire to bond with humans makes them great family dogs. **Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs. September 7, 2024, 10:05 am

I was really lucky and got spend a couple of weekends at one of the Ark volunteers home, and got to show off how well behaved I am and that I'm even housebroken already! *The Adoption fee for Rocky is reduced/covered by adoption sponsorship donations When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, and the most guesses were that I'm a Cur mix, but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! Story
John Boy is a 2 year old brindle boy with the cutest ears and white spotted chest and feet. He weighs 35 lbs right now and we think they may have Plott Hound/ Mountain Curr/ Lab/ and Cattle dog in them but it is hard to say other than that they are cute! John Boy showed up on a farm with his brother and sister and they fostered them until room opened up at the rescue. They are good around farm animals and have learned house and leash manners since being at the rescue. He is good with cats, kids and dogs. John Boy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heart worm negative, and dewormed! His adoption fee is $250.January 13, 2025, 6:15 pm
