Story
Amy is a young, active dog who is looking for a new home where she can get lots of play time and exercise in a fenced backyard! She gets along great with her 5 foster dog siblings and loves to wrestle, explore and do zoomies in the yard with her friends. She LOVES other dogs and would enjoy a home with another active dog who she could play with. Amy does wonderful with older children, but do not recommend a home with small children, unless the child is more reserved, because Amy can get a little overwhelmed when things get too exciting or loud and she can startle easily. She has shown 0 signs of aggression towards people and typically responds to her overstimulation by retreating to her kennel. She is being fostered on a property with free range chickens and has shown 0 interest in them. She does not currently live with cats but has briefly been around them, and also showed zero signs or interest or reactivity. Amy had a rough start and lived as a stray for over 8 months with little to no human interaction, so she has a bit of anxiety from everything in the home being so new. She would love a patient family to help her figure out the nuances of being an inside, family pet. She has come a LONG ways in learning house manners and how to appropriately interact with other dogs and people, but would benefit from continued training in her new home. She currently prefers a backyard romp and does NOT appreciate being leash walked at all. She is potty and kennel trained. Amy is a BEAUTIFUL dog with her Catahoula Leopard markings. She is such a sweet and loving soul that is trying so hard to learn how to trust people! Even with her occasional hesitation, Amy loves affection and attention and being with her person. She will be your shadow and curl up as close to you as possible any chance she gets! Please apply today if you think your home could provide Amy the love and life she deserves. -

Story
Swirl is a whirlwind of a puppy! He likes to run and chase, but also tries to be gentle with everyone he meets. He's the big boy of his litter, but tends to let others boss him around so long as he's having fun. Swirl is also protective of his packmates, and just wants everyone to have a good time! Swirl has a very minor heart murmur. He does not need any medical intervention at this time, but he does need to watch his activity level and ensure he does engage in overly strenuous activities and frequently rests between play.
