Story
**Meet Aries: Your New Adventure Buddy and Cuddle Champion!** Get ready to embark on exciting adventures with Aries, the energetic and fun-loving dog who's always up for a good time! Whether you're hitting the trails for a hike or going for a run, Aries is the perfect companion, ready to keep pace and make every outing thrilling. Aries has a boundless zest for life and is always eager to explore and discover new things. While he's picky about treats, his true joy comes from human affection. He loves to shower you with his own brand of love and would choose a cuddle session over snacks any day. His ideal rewards are belly rubs and praise, making him highly responsive to positive reinforcement. On the leash, Aries tends to pull, but he's a quick learner and will excel with a bit of training, especially when his mind is engaged and he receives lots of love and encouragement. His energetic nature and need for mental stimulation mean he thrives when given regular exercise and attention. Aries has also shown his good manners in public and has done well with older children, making him a wonderful family pet. If you're looking for a spirited, affectionate dog who will be a fantastic adventure partner and a loving companion, Aries might be the perfect match for you. Come meet this enthusiastic boy and see if he's the adventure buddy you've been waiting for! As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet Aries, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday.

Story
I've had Winston since he was a puppy and he's always been a great, loyal, companion. Unfortunately he's shown aggressive behavior towards our toddler, and with our 2nd child on the way we've made the incredibly difficult decision to try and find a new home for Winston where he can be prioritized and loved fully. He's very sweet and loving towards adults and older kids/teenagers. He's really low maintenance and is happy hanging around the house or out in the backyard when the weather is nice. He's fully house-broken, crate-trained, and up to date on all vaccines. I'd love to chat and give all the details about about Winston to anyone that's interested so please reach out. Thank you.

Story
We got Rocky when he was 4 months old. We were his 4th home at that point. Rocky is incredibly sweet with the adults in our home. He can be sweet with kids but has snipped at our 2 year old twins more than once now and we believe he needs to be in a home without small children. It pains me to rehome Rocky but I don’t believe he is happy in our home now that the twins are here. If you are an adult looking for a lap dog to love on, he would be a great fit. He is afraid of thunder. He would do best with a fenced in yard, as he has chased a neighbor and the mailman before.
