Story
Mullet is a “turn-key” puppy!! He has already mastered potty training, crate training, and walks well on a leash- all which usually cause frustration as a new dog-mom or dog-dad!! He is both food and praise motivated so he is easily re-directed and trainable. He has that fun puppy energy but also loves to snuggle up beside you on the couch while you do some gaming or binge a show! Maybe he sometimes doesn't understand personal space because he *thinks* he's a teeny wittle baby!  He's able to entertain himself during your work day with toys. He also may have a future as a flip cup champion, as he plays the cutest game where he flips his toys up in the air to catch them!  He can be a little timid in new situations but with his hoomans nearby he has the confidence to take in the new experiences.   He's currently being fostered in a family with 2 elementary aged kids and a resident 1 yo dog and he handles the constant attention and commotion wonderfully!  If you are looking for a puppy that's down for a road trip adventure or just to snooze with you on the coach, Mullet will do it all with you! ##2084524##

Story
Mohawk, affectionately called Mo-Mo, has a loving, cuddly personality. He loves cuddles, playing with his toys, and running around the yard. Mohawk is doing well with potty and crate training and is learning to listen to "come" and "sit" more consistently; he responds well with rewards. He has interacted well with kids ages 12+ (he hasn't been around any younger) and seems like he'd do well with younger since he is such a sweetheart. He sleeps in his crate through the night without any issues and is always ready to welcome us whether we've stepped away for two minutes or two hours. Mo would do well in a home with other dogs and cats or he would be fine as an only dog too.  Mohawk will do great with consistent training and rewards! Are you ready to meet me? Visit https://www.wtarescue.com/adoption-process-2 to request a meet and greet and to learn more about the adoption process! Mandatory in-person transfer date: August 23rd at the Petsmart in Tysons Corner between 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. All adopters must attend in order to finalize the adoption. ##2084526##

To learn more about Boone please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Boone will be attending one of our adoption events coming up this weekend! To learn more about our upcoming events and to see which event they will be attending, please visit our event page at https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/ (*please note that the specific event pages are typically updated on Fridays with information on which dogs will be attending which events* Hi! I'm Boone! I'm new to Lost Dog, and although they have been so nice to me, I just don't want to hang out with them for long! I really want a family and a place I can call home. I'm great with other dogs and love all kinds of people. I will love on you with all I have. Because I get so excited to see my people, I may be a bit much for the little ones, but I don't mean any harm. I'm still learning how to get around in my new surroundings and I'd love to learn more about family life. Will it be with you? Come meet me this weekend!

Story
Introducing, Jagger! Jagger is 2 years old and 60 lbs. He was sadly locked up for living the life of a free spirit on the streets. But his good looks and charming personality won his bail. He is a lovable goof with a bit of beefcake mixed in. He absolutely loves other dogs. He's working on cats, as he thinks they're small dogs and doesn't understand they don't want to play. He's yet to meet a belly rub provider he didn't like. Jagger is currently working on how to be the best boy. He's yet to have an accident in the home, is quiet in his crate, has decent leash manners, and respects a fence. He and his foster brother enjoy daily games of chase and wrestle in the backyard. Jagger seems to be new to toys. So far his favorite is finding out what's inside the oversized tennis balls. If you are looking for an energetic boy to bring some life to your party, this is your guy. Interested in meeting Jagger? Apply at www.novapetsalive.org/adopt. *Jagger is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, was given dewormer and monthly preventatives, is negative for tick borne diseases and heartworm, and is microchipped.

Story
This gal has been at the shelter since she was a day old. Her momma was in an abandoned house and brought to us during the snowstorms in January. She and her sister are the last 2 babies to find homes. She will probably be around 45lbs when full grown as that’s what her mama is, we have no idea about the dad. Alyssa is a bit more shy around new people. She likes to play but will take a little time to warm up to her new family. She gets along with other dogs her size, she hasn’t been around too many larger dogs. She will need all the basic puppy training as she’s still young. She is a sweet gal who’s patiently waiting for a forever family.
