Story
Izzy is a fantastic roommate. She will come too you when she's ready for attention but generally is content to hang out in the same room. She has been my husband's office cat all her life. She tends to pick "her person" and is aloof to others. She would do well with older kids and adults who can understand her boundaries. She doesn't care for dogs or other animals. We started having problems when the toddlers started walking. She marks pieces of clothing left on the floor, and sometimes next to our bed. We have taken her to the vet to rule out a UTI. The issue has ebbed and flowed for about a year. We ended up adopting an abandon kitten last summer (not planned), and that has aggravated an already tough situation. They don't get along, and after some tough conversations, we have decided Izzy would be happier with a calmer household. We prefer someone local, in case her new home doesn't work out. Mom was a Russian Blue/Munchkin, and dad was a stray.
