Story
Matcha is a loving, energetic almost five year old dog. Her breed is unknown as she was found with her two siblings abandoned. We have had her since she was about 7 weeks old. We have tried to make it work, but she does not get along well with our other female dog. Very possessive of food and toys. She also does not like our two year old son and with another on the way we feel it would be best to rehome her with someone who can give her what she needs. She is very athletic, energetic, spunky and silly. She loves me and my husband but is even possessive over us growling and snapping at our other dogs if they come near us. She needs a home with someone that does not have any other pets and can give her the exercise that she needs. Definitely no children in the home, as she has snapped at our son before as well.

Milo is a big 3yr old goof ball. He could just play and play all day. He has grown up sith cats/dogs/kids his whole life. He can be intense at times to some pets due to his size but once warmed up all is well. We had planned to move in to a larger home however due to financial struggles this won’t happen for a long time. Meanwhile, we know that Milo needs more space to run and be his energetic self. He would require a large fenced in yard

Hello, this is my dog Sally. She is the sweetest, kindest dog. She loves kids and loves attention. She really likes walks but is content hanging out too. The only reason I am rehoming her is because my other dogs are mean to her. This breaks my heart but I don’t think it is fair to her. I love her very much.

Yomi is a 6 year old cuddly happy female dog. Her breed is unknown. Unfortunately she has not dealt well with being replaced as the “baby” by my child. She loves kids but hasn’t been able to get along with my daughter so we’ve decided to look for a proper home for her where she won’t have to be kept separate. If you are looking for a sweet and loving dog please give her a chance! I would love to find her a new home.

Story
Abby is an 8+ year old mixed breed, adopted from a shelter/farm in downstate IL in 2018. Abby is a sweet, funny girl with a quirky personality. She is also incredibly intelligent and learns very quickly. She’s completely house-trained, and has never had an accident in the house in 6 years. Abby does not like big dogs, gets very agitated and will fight with them. She has been around my son’s 55-lb girl dog, and remains calm when supervised. She plays hard with small dogs, like the 27-lb beagle mix we had for 5 years. She is very healthy, vaccinated, microchipped. She’s never had any real health issues, and sees her vet every year. She is a joy to live with and can be alone more than 8 hrs/day if needs be. I work from home so she goes out in my fenced yard 3-5x/day. I don’t want to re-home Abby, she’s wonderful. But I’ve taken a job requiring weekly travel, and it isn’t fair to her. I will keep her here, continuing to work with my house-sitters until I find the right home.

Story
Bentley is an approximately 6 year old mixed breed weighing about 75lbs. We got him about 1.5 years ago. He is a good dog, and we were told he was a stray as a puppy and had been in and out of the shelter a few times before we got him. He had a rough past. He is somewhat dog-aggressive and right now is unable to be around other dogs. I typically walk him early or avoid walking too near other dogs to keep him calm on walks. We started working with a trainer about 9 months ago. He has shown improvement in some areas, but is still not able to be fully socialized with other dogs. Unfortunately, I can no longer devote the time and energy into his continued training. He is not beyond hope, just beyond our abilities. He is great with kids and does well around other people. He is very affectionate and playful. He loves running in the yard and going for walks. He has a good handle on basic obedience and is fully house trained.
