Story
Phoebe is a sweet girl that has shown to be a little too protective, and needs a home that can give her the attention she needs and deserves. She craves attention, loves our kids and other dog. She does get nervous around new situations and people, and that has proven a problem for our hectic lifestyle. She has had problems with unfamiliar people and kennel workers. If you have the time, patience, and love to give to this sweet girl, she will definitely reciprocate 100x back. She has gone through heart worm treatment, and does require a monthly medication to maintain her health. We just give her the chewable a available at any pet store.

Story
Trixie is almost 2 years old. We adopted her at Brightside Animal Shelter last September. We wanted a companion but she is just too frisky for me to care for. She love to fetch the ball and frisbees. She has a sweet personality and loves being around her humans. However I have balance issues and so does my husband. It would be better for Trixie to be around younger folks with kids or even a couple who don’t have major health issues. She loves to go on walks and sometimes can jerk the leash out of my hand. She love to chew her toys to pieces, so I won’t be sending those with her, she also chews sticks she finds in the yard. Will send her balls with her. I will send her food and leashes with her.

Story
Mary Jane is three years old and she has been with us for over two years. We have two young kids (ages 5 and 8) and she does great with them. She is very sweet with us. She likes to play fetch and go on hikes and is a great running partner. She is smart, has completed obedience training, and is crate trained. She is nervous when meeting other dogs but does fine at the dogsitter's home with other dogs after she gets a few minutes to warm up. She previously lived with a friendly dog and did great. Recently she has become territorial in our home and immediate neighborhood with strangers and visitors (barking and pulling; no bites) and needs more socialization training than we can offer her. She will come with her beds and crate. We are happy to pay for a home visit with a trainer to get her acclimated to a new home. We just want a good home and family for her that gives her the attention and patience that she deserves. Adoption fee negotiable.

Story
Kunai is energetic, sweet and so curious. She requires a lot of attention, exercise and stimulation. She's very smart yet can be stubborn. She's a mixed breed but due to her build and temperament, I believe Shiba Inu is in her mix. She's so friendly & loving toward people but can be reactive and untrusting of other dogs, however she has a history of getting alone with dogs that match her energy and/or are tolerant of her. She has never met a cat she didn't want to play with. She will need a bit more training, specifically with walking on leash and recall. She has hunting dog tendencies and can get very fixated on what she wants, especially with outside distractions. I've been her mom for almost 4 years, though life circumstances have changed greatly since adopting her. I live solo in an apartment in downtown and have developed a very busy schedule. I'm no longer able to provide Kunai with the attention she needs. I would love to see her thrive in a house with a yard & a friend.

Story
I rescued this sweet boy in March 2024 from a Craigslist ad that posted two poor pictures of him and said "3.5 year old male". The "foster" that took him in for 2-3 weeks said she took him in from an owner needing to check himself into rehab. The only thing she said she knew about him was that he probably had his puppy shots and was crated most of his life. I have gotten his shots up-to-date, neutered, and had him examined by two veterinarians. His bloodwork and his heart are all good. His teeth aren't in great condition, but he is a happy guy all things considered. He can "sit", "lay down", and his recall is good. He's a 10, but get's fixated on wanting to play or "help" other dogs/animals. He has no food/toy aggression and will wait to be released to eat his meal. I am rehoming him because I am single and my work is increasing my travel schedule. He could be great with a couple or a family. He would thrive on a farm because he is likely a herding dog and loves bigger animals.
