Story
Meet Finley! She is a 4 yr old mix breed originally from Mexico. She is playful, smart and energetic, never tires of snuggling and cuddling! She loves car rides and playing with other dogs. Take her to the dog park and she will have fun for hours. She is good on a leash, protective of her house, knows simple commands (sit, stay, come, lay down), is spayed, and up to date on shots. Unfortunately, we live on a farm and she is not good at containing herself when outside. She has a habit of running off on our property when she is left to her own devises and has a high prey drive with our smaller livestock and cats. An ideal home will be with a person or family where she can get one on one attention and be taken out on walks or to the dog park every day. She is ok with cats in the house (if not a bit obsessive) but a house without cats may be best. She cant wait to meet her forever person!

Story
Hi! I’m Athena! I was rescued from being dumped at a gas station in Northern California. Unfortunately, my grandma wasn’t able to keep me, and I’ve been living with my two dog siblings, cat, and three little human boys (oh and of course my grown up humans as well). I have lots of energy and love to play. I need a home that will keep me active. I love staying busy. I am a smart girl and love learning new skills.

Story
Sophie can do many tricks for treats, licks tears away when you cry, loves to play pull, likes to go driving/adventures (more glamper than camper), and will spend most of her day laying in the sun. Loves cuddles - when *she* wants it (mostly independent). I got Sophie from the shelter in 2019. She was shy/anxious, but after a few minutes of gaining trust, she turned into this happy girl giving me all the kisses. Almost 6 years later and she is the same; think 25lb Chihuahua with a lot of love. She's on anti-anxiety meds, but still barks at strangers (dogs and people). No bites - only trouble is at the vet as she doesn't like feeling trapped. There was a period when she was very good on walks and at dog parks, but it takes patience and consistency, and we have become caretakers for sick parents (so can't do that now). A home with less trigger-stacking (meaning busy streets/backyards and loud noises) will do wonders for her as it gives her some time to recover from being 'on duty'.

Story
Rue is a rescue dog. She is extremely loving and full of energy. We have boarded her twice and she got along with other dogs at boarding facility. However she does not get along with the dogs in our home. We feel she would be an excellent dog for someone without other pets. She is spayed and all her shots are up to date. She is crate trained. She is approximately 11 months to one year old. She learns quickly and would be easily trained. Her potty training is hit and miss. She is almost there. We hate. to part ways with Rue, but the 2 other dogs have been our pets for over 5 years and it is not working out. Rue needs a home without other pets and that can give her the attention she deserves. Please consider this loving pup to become part of your family.

Story
I am a sweet and goofy boy at heart - I just need slow intros to new people, I like to take my time getting to know you. With a little patience and kindness, I will slowly open up and show you just how affectionate I can be! I love going for a hike (I am great on a leash) and being outside rain or shine. I may be big, but I am also very gentle when I am comfortable with my people. I have a soft spot for quiet moments where we can just relax and enjoy your company. I prefer to be the only pet in my kingdom. But with the right dog, I would love a companion, but I can be picky because I get overwhelmed easily and I do not like to share food. I can be protective of my food and treats, so I would appreciate a home where I can have some space and my own special things. I would also do best in a home without children because I need calmness and I spook easily when I am resting. I am currently in SE Portland, but would be able to travel for the right fit.

Story
Bailey is a 3 yr old giant with a heart of gold who only wants to give and receive love. We believe she is a mastiff/lab/Great Dane mix. She’s very smart and will train easily. I adopted her a little over a year ago and was shortly after, was told that my cancer had come back. I’m currently in treatment and feel horrible that I can’t give her the love/life she deserves. She is big and loud and can come off as scary which is a good thing for a single female! Bailey is a protective dog, meaning she barks at strangers, and quickly settles after a couple minutes of ignoring her behavior. I haven’t been able to train her as much as I’d like and I don’t see myself gaining any additional energy as my treatment continues. She’d be great in a house with kids to run her around and give her plenty of walks!
