Story
currently trying to rehome our Miss Maya. She is 5 on 11/12/24. We’ve had her since she was a pup and got her from a rescue in NOVA. She’s updated on all of her vaccines, crate trained, potty trained, been to kennels, went to proper training at Creature comfort in Strasburg. We have her collar that she was trained with as well and her crate. She is amazing walking on leash, and loves being outside. Her anxiety has been her rough part, but a lot of it has stemmed from our older dogs and our young kids. She’s gotten in a few fights with our other dogs so we are really trying to make sure she goes where she is the only dog and no cats. She’s also developed some territorial behaviors with other dogs because of her anxiety and our older dogs. Although she’s had issues with our dogs and kids she has never bit a person. Her separation anxiety has caused her to be a little bit destructive at home but with given her medicine and properly put in her crate when not home she can do great.

Story
Meet Foley; a lively, loving pup ready for all of life’s adventures! He’s off-leash trained on an e-collar, crate trained, great in public, and super social. He’s traveled a bunch and loves making new friends, especially female dogs and some neutered males. Foley is a total snuggle bug and a blast to train with his bouncy, fun personality. He’s looking for a kid-free home where his boundaries will be respected, as he’s had negative experiences with kids in the past. He may need a slow, gentle approach when putting on collars or leashes due to past issues. Foley’s ready for a best friend to explore the world with — could it be you?

Story
We rescued Mochi 4 years ago and he was estimated to be about 2-3 years old at the time. So is about 6/7 now. He was a companion for my parents after our family dog passed away. Unfortunately due to health problems, and a long recovery ahead we are unable to give him the attention he needs. So we had to make the difficult decision to rehome Mochi. Mochi is a sweet dog and is great with everyone. But is shy and anxious. He takes a little while to warm up to new people, but once he does he is very affectionate. He comes up for cuddles and belly rubs, however, he does not like to be picked up. He will allow it though once he has warmed up to you. He’s great on a leash and house trained. He would do best with an owner that has experience with anxious dogs and understands he needs more time to warm up. Because he is anxious he is a flight risk, so he needs an owner that understands that and can give him the time to adjust.

Story
Henry is a 10 month old Dachshund/Chihuahua/unknown other mix rescue. Currently weighs 28lbs. He is house trained and knows basic commands (sit, down, stay, place). He is happiest having his one person that he can bond with, follow around, and sleep near. He loves other dogs, especially ones that are bigger than him and is happiest when getting to play and rough house with them all day at doggie day care. At about 6 months he became less tolerable of young children and more reactive to them. Outside of the home he does well with groomers and his doggie day care handlers. He walks well on a leash (harness) and is only distracted by joggers or squirrels that run in front of him. He also does well in the car. I think Henry would benefit from a quieter home (no young children) and one that has at least one other dog that he can play with to expend his energy.

Story
Rory is a 9-year-old mutt( 10 in July) ! He is a lab mix. I did the dog DNA through embark and can share results. He is incredibly sweet, loyal, affectionate, and the best snuggle buddy. He has low-medium energy because of his age. He loves to play fetch with a ball. He knows basic commands (come, up, sit, in, etc.) He is up to date on vaccinations, crate trained, and house trained. He is around 60lbs. Rory can get along with other dogs, but can be territorial. He gets anxious around children, but not around adults. Because of this, he would do best in a home without children or other dogs, where he can feel safe and comfortable. He did bite my 3 year old son, and that is why we are rehoming. He does take and anxiety medications. He occasionally gets idiopathic head tremors, which can be stopped by giving him a treat or food. He had his annual check up this week and is healthy. He deserves a great life with someone who can give him the love, patience, and stability he needs.
