Story
My mom and I adopted peanut I believe back in 2018. He’s been very special and a huge part of our family, but I recently became a mother and simply do not have time or patience for a pet at the moment. My mom has since taken peanut back to her home, but she travels a lot for work, so it is not an ideal situation. We adopted him from the SPCA in Greene County Virginia, he was believed to be six months old at the time. They were unsure of his past, I believe he may have been abused because of how skittish he was. It’s been years, unfortunately, he still extremely skittish, and afraid of loud noises or change. He’s been a great dog, and I want to find him the home he deserves.

Story
My grandparents got her 10 years ago at a shelter. But they are now 94 years old and have some medical challenges and we need to rehome her. She is always friendly with everyone she meets. I have kids and they do well around her. She is 12 years old but very active still. Goes for walks daily as she is in an assisted facility with them. All shots up to date.

Story
Cleo is a former rescue who has been with our family since 2018. She is house trained, good with kids, other dogs and cats. She has a loud protective bark but once introductions have been made, she is very sweet and affectionate. She is a smart girl who has been through and completed a K9 training course in 2020. We have not been consistent with her training but with a little work, she should fall back into it. She has always been a little skittish and jumps when people move too fast near her. She has never shown any signs of aggressive and is very patient with our three toddlers. We are looking for a loving home for her that has no stairs, attentive owners and no young children. She has a limp in her back leg. The vet believes it is early onset of arthritis and she needs to rest it when she can with no climbing stairs. We are unable to give her the love, attention, and care she needs. She loves belly rubs, snuggles and lying in the sun.

Story
Lucy is a 3 year old Boxer mix. She extremely sweet and loving. She high energy, loves to run around and play with people and other dogs. She’s house trained, crate trained, and has never bitten. She’s lived in houses with other dogs and young kids. She’s up to date on all her shots and when adopted you’ll also get two large dog beds, blanket, all toys food and treats, and all pajamas and clothes. I unfortunately am unable to take care of her anymore as I have started working 12-16 hour days about 5 days a week and I find it cruel to have her locked up at home by herself for so long. I’m looking to find her a home where she will get plenty of attention and won’t have to spend extended periods alone. Also someone who can match her energy level.
