Story
Siwogula (A135257) is a 1-year-and-7-month-old Siberian Husky who weighed 39 pounds on intake! 08/12/24 This strikingly handsome boy is Siwogula! Siwogula was surrendered to the shelter because he was not getting along with the other male dog in the home. He was said to do great with female dogs and would do best in a home without male dogs. Siwogula was known to have a rough style play, which is not always appreciated by other animals. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with any and all potential friends. Slow, safe, and controlled is key! Siwogula was known to have escape artist tendencies like most huskies and will jump fences. He is looking for an owner who can keep him properly contained â&#194&#128&#194&#147 on a leash, secure tie-out, and supervised when in a fenced-in yard. We also encourage his next owner to reach out to a certified trainer to continue working on his manners and training. He was described as an outgoing, friendly, and affectionate dog. He was said to have previously done well with children and adults but is looking for a home that will respect his boundaries. Siwogula was also said to be housebroken and to ride well in a car. However, he was known to mark, but we are hoping that neutering him will help with this behavior. If you are not familiar with Siberian huskies, we encourage you to research the breed prior to adopting. This boy is looking for a home that will not only keep him physically stimulated but also mentally. Without appropriate stimulation, we tend to see huskies getting into mischief. If you are interested in meeting Siwogula, please let us know! August 17, 2024, 10:04 pm

Story
Fred (A135552) is a 2-year-old AK Husky x Corgi mix who weighed just under 30 pounds on intake! 08/13/24 This adorable little fellow is Fred! Fred was surrendered to the shelter because his owner was moving and unable to take him with him. Fred can be shy at times, but once he is familiar with you, he will be your best friend! Fred was even said to have previously done well with babies and children but, again, can be cautious with strangers. Fred was said to be kennel trained but is not housebroken. We highly encourage his next owner to bring him to a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on his manners and building his confidence in new environments. Fred was said to have previously done well with other animals that he has met including dogs, cats, and pocket pets. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with any and all new potential friends. If you are interested in meeting this little man and think he could be your new future pup, please let us know! August 17, 2024, 10:04 pm

Story
Amanita (A135589) is a 3-month-old Alaskan husky who weighed nearly 15lbs at intake!08/17/24 These adorable little pups are Chaga and Amanita! These girls arrived at the shelter because their previous owner did not have any luck rehoming on their own. These girls have only lived outside, so they are looking for patient homes to help them learn the ropes of being pet dogs! Amanita has been more outgoing than her sister, but Chaga has been quite cuddly with the care staff while at the shelter. These girls have a lot of energy! enrolling them in a puppy class with a certified trainer would be a great way to help socialize them and help them learn some basic obedience and get some energy out! If you are interested in either Chaga or Amanita, please give us a call!August 17, 2024, 10:04 pm
