I am in need of re-homing my late brothers dog. Everest is approximately 4 years old and is a pit mix. Everest went to the vet when she was a puppy and was fixed but has not been to one since. She is currently staying with my mother. My mom is unable to continue to take care of her because it is just too much at her age and recent hip surgery. Up until recently she was great with other dogs but is starting to get feisty. Everest is great with people but must be the only pet.

Jessica Tandy is a sweet, typical puppy (10-11 month old and about 50 lbs) full of love and life. She gets along great with other dogs and is social when meeting people. Story
We rescued Sidney from a horrific shelter in Memphis, TN. When we got him, he was skin and bones and had some barrier aggression issues (who knows what horrors he suffered there) It didn't take long for Sidney to realize he was now safe and could start letting down his guard. Sidney Poitier has filled out and is truly a stunning dog. Sidney is about 2 years old, and is at his healthy weight of 80 lbs. Sidney is a very intelligent fellow, he learns quicky and is anxious to please. He will do well with a job and/or a lot of stimulation, long walks and hikes. He will do well with an experienced dog person. Sidney loves meeting new people. He has done well with large dogs he has met, however he is would not be good with small dogs or cats. Sidney does show barrier reactivity, however, when the barrier is removed (whether it is a crate, fence or car window) he show absolutely no issues. Because Sidney likes a lot of activity, he will need a securely fenced yard (must be a physical fence, not an electric or invisible system)  He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and on monthly treatment for flea/ticks and heartworm prevention Sidney is currently located in the Middle TN area but transport is included in the adoption fee for approved adopter If you are interested in Sidney Poitier, email cox_ann@bellsouth.net for an application

My name is Tucker. I am a big, lovable, and goofy puppy. I love nothing more than to get love and cuddles from my human. I also love to play outside. I am crate trained and almost completely potty trained.I would do well in a home with another dog my size. Because I am a big puppy, I wouldn’t be a good fit in a household with small children. Although I love my foster home, I can’t wait to find my furever home. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention. If you would like to meet this precious guy and make him part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ Tucker is located in North Alabama with transport available to your area. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members.
