Story
I am in need of re-homing my late brothers dog. Everest is approximately 4 years old and is a pit mix. Everest went to the vet when she was a puppy and was fixed but has not been to one since. She is currently staying with my mother. My mom is unable to continue to take care of her because it is just too much at her age and recent hip surgery. Up until recently she was great with other dogs but is starting to get feisty. Everest is great with people but must be the only pet.

These pups are in Meriden, Connecticut too!

Story
Name: ZaneBreed: German Shepherd Age: Under a yearDogs: TBDKids: Over 12Cats: TBDMeet our buddy Zane! Zane came to us from an animal control partner and he was in a rough shape when we got the poor guy! Zane's skin was a mess, and he lacked any type of confidence, and didn't know how to seek out human affection. Zane has been in foster care since and has been thriving! Zane's skin and coat look better and he is loving life! Foster mom and dad say Zane's confidence has come full circle! Foster mom says Zane is very attentive, loyal, and playful. Zane is under a year old, is housebroken, loves his car rides, knows basic commands, and is good for entertaining himself with his toys. This guy loves his walks, and exploring the world! Zane is UTD on his vaccinations, micro-chipped, and will be neutered. He will be officially dog and cat tested soon! If you are interested in making Zane a part of your family, please fill out an application today! https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27

Story
*Shepherd or working breed experience required* Meet our very pretty all black Shepherd named Jade! Jade is about 2 years old and she was surrendered to our facility after her family was told them could not keep her where they were living. They themselves had gotten Jade off of a free pets Facebook page, and only had her for about 5 months before they gave her to us. Jade is a beautiful dog who is food motivated. She does not have much drive for tennis balls or toys, but she has a great nose. Jade is a loyal girl who connects deeply with the people she trusts. It did not take long for Jade to get used to us here. She is definitely more confident around women, and more timid around new men, but she is treated motivated and will approach men when treats are involved. It will take more time for her to trust men, but we are confident she would be able to do this given some time to decompress in her new home. She is your typical protective Shepherd type when in her home, and she will bark when strangers approach to let you know someone is coming. She is a very sweet and affectionate girl who deserves a chance at a loving home! Jade is good with other dogs and she can live with cats. Jade can go to a home with children 12 years old and older. *Shepherd or working breed experience required* If you are interested in adopting Jade, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! Her adoption fee is $75.00. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME. For more info please call 203-235-4179 (Always Leave A Message) or email adopt@savingpawsct.org
