Story
Gunner is a great dog who isn't quite used to having little kids in his house. We recommend older children for him to be successful in a new home. Gunner is playful and loving. He gets along with other dogs but doesn't care for the cats much. Gunner is a bit of a parrot because he loves to lay on the back of whatever you're sitting on! He loves to be brushed and petted. :) You have to meet him to appreciate his quirky personality. Gunner has a bit of anxiety and would benefit from only having 1 other animal in the home or no other animals in the home. We feel he would also benefit from someone being home a majority of the time. He really is a good boy who just needs a chance to love someone. Gunner is microchipped and crate trained. He does howl once in a while in the night. :) Come meet him!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Shadow, originally known as Jordan, came to our shelter in May 2024 when he was 11 weeks old. He's a pitsky, or pit bull/husky mix. He was adopted and named Shadow. His people had a big life change, so he was returned in August 2024 after 3 months in his home. He's 6 months old now and is a happy, healthy, and friendly guy. He is fully vaccinated, chipped, and will be neutered on Aug. 20th. His fee is $150. Shadow is an active pup who will be a larger dog at maturity. He did live with kids in his previous home and did very well with them. He has had some basic training but is more than ready and willing to have more. He's done pretty well with other dogs. He has had no exposure to cats. He's an active dude who will require regular exercise. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Check your emails if you apply. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 18, 2024, 7:33 pm
