Story
Age: 10months Vaccinations: Had her first round of shots She has some nervous aggression, especially when anxious, and needs someone patient and experienced with dogs. She is not fully potty trained and has accidents when left alone. Needs Lots of time, training, and structure to help with her behavior and confidence. I have Bed, food, toys, and plenty of treats. She is a sweet girl but requires more care and consistency than I can provide with my work schedule. If you are experienced with dogs and can offer her a loving, stable home, please reach out. Serious inquiries only. I just want to make sure she goes to someone who will take good care of her.

Story
Onyx is an almost four-year-old Pitbull terrier we've had since he was a puppy. This furry friend is loving, full of energy, and ready to bring joy and laughter to your life. He’s a strong dog that thinks he lives in a small body and is unaware of his size at times. He loves people and he’s good with dogs similar to his size. He’s crate trained and leash trained but he could use some retraining. He loves to play and run outside. He isn’t neutered yet, but he will be soon. He does have allergies and we are still in the process of ruling out whether it’s diet or seasonal. He has a paw condition called pododermatitis., so his paws are a little inflamed and we use wipes or foam daily to treat it (twice a day). It’s a chronic condition so it's something that needs to be managed throughout his life. Otherwise, he has all his shots and he's a healthy size. If you're seeking a loyal companion who's always up for an adventure, Onyx is the one for you.

To learn more about Huey, please contact dogs@lostdogrescue.orig Huey will be attending one of our adoption events coming up this weekend! To learn more about our upcoming events and to see which event they will be attending, please visit our event page at https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/ (*please note that the specific event pages are typically updated on Fridays with information on which dogs will be attending which events*) Meet Huey! This adorable, energetic, and friendly pup is on the hunt for his forever home. Huey is a puppy at heart, with an unmatched lust for life and enthusiasm for everything. He stays calm in new situations and loves meeting new people. While this kind pup has no bad intentions, his passion often makes itself known, so he would do best in a home with experienced owners. Huey loves walks and is very eager to explore his surroundings and meet new people, so he might need to be handled by an experienced walker. On walks, he stays aware of his surroundings but behaves himself around other dogs. With all his energy and excited personality, Huey will need lots of time and space to play. He loves toys and enjoys being pet. He might enjoy play-wrestling with other dogs- despite his enthusiasm, he is a very kind, gentle pup at heart. He takes treats gently and knows some commands. If you love staying active and are looking for a loyal, kind new family member, Huey might just be your guy! He would do best with a family that can give him lots of physical exercise as well as mental stimulation. He wants to explore everything life has to offer and is a delightful, energetic, and good-natured pup.

Story
To learn more about Bodey, please email: dogs@lostdogrescue.org. Bodey is a vibrant, high-energy German Shepherd who embraces life with enthusiasm and a love for adventure. True to his breed, this strikingly handsome pup thrives on activity and needs both mental and physical stimulation to stay content. With his boundless zest for life and eager-to-please nature, Bodey is an incredibly intelligent and trainable dog who has already mastered several commands. Whether it's fetching a ball, going for long walks, or hiking in the woods, he is always ready for action! Despite his lively puppy-like personality, Bodey is a loyal and dedicated dog who loves to be near his people. He’s often found at your side, napping nearby or occasionally trying to curl up in your lap for some affection. Once he warms up to you, Bodey is playful and affectionate, but he doesn’t demand constant attention—he’s independent when he needs to be, but you might get a big, goofy kiss from him if he gets a little too excited! Bodey absolutely loves chew toys/tennis balls, a good nap, and especially long walks, ideally in the woods where he can explore to his heart’s content. He’s a very strong guy who’s still learning to manage his impulses and excitability, particularly when it comes to seeing other dogs while out on walks (he’s just so eager to make new doggy friends!). In the home, Bodey has made significant progress with his training and is house-trained and crate-trained, and he even puts himself to bed each night. His protective instincts make him a great companion, but he also requires an owner who understands his need for exercise and structure and can adequately provide that to him. His ideal home would be an active one with a good-sized, fully high-fenced yard for him to run around in to help burn off some of his energy. And if kids are in the home, we recommend older ones due to his size, strength, and excitability. Prior experience owning a German Shepherd or a similar high-energy breed is a plus. Bodey would thrive in a patient, stable environment—one without cats—where he can continue to grow and learn. With plenty of exercise, consistent training, and the right loving home, Bodey will be the most loyal, loving companion anyone could ask for. If you’re ready to open up your heart and home to an active, adventurous dog, Bodey just might be the perfect match for you!

To learn more about Denise, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Denise will be attending one of our adoption events coming up this weekend! To learn more about our upcoming events and to see which event they will be attending, please visit our event page at https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/ (*please note that the specific event pages are typically updated on Fridays with information on which dogs will be attending which events*) Meet Denise, a joyful 7-year-old German Shepherd mix with the heart of a youngster! At 69lbs, she’s full of energy and affection. Denise absolutely loves squeaky toys, tennis balls, and tug-of-war, making her the perfect playtime companion. She adores being around people and is always eager to join in on the fun—but she’s also content to wait quietly for your return. When you come home, get ready for an enthusiastic welcome with some barking and jumping, as she just can’t contain her excitement! Denise has learned some basic commands like sit, shake, and down, but her leash manners still need some work. She pulls strongly on the leash and can get distracted by passing crows, or anyone who catches her eye—sometimes leading to a playful leap or enthusiastic bark! She was kept in a basement with limited outdoor time, so she’s still adjusting to walking properly on a leash. Denise has a big heart for kids and loves to be around them, though small children are still an unknown for her. She's fully house-trained and crate-trained for road trips, where she does wonderfully in motels. Her ideal home is one without cats, as she’s not fond of them, but she gets along well with other dogs. If you're ready to bring a fun-loving, playful pup into your life who will always greet you with joy and loyalty, Denise is the dog for you! She's looking for a loving family that will continue to help her learn and grow, offering her the happy life she truly deserves.
