Story
Toby found my husband at his work when he was under a year- he was covered in ticks, malnourished, and had a rope around his neck that had been chewed through. He has been a healthy and mostly happy dog since then, but he has always had some issues with other dogs (particularly unfixed males). He is extremely athletic and has STRONG treeing/hunting instincts. As with many hounds, he isn’t incredibly affectionate. Since our move and in his old age, he has become increasingly reactive and now, at times, aggressive. We no longer trust him around our infant daughter which was our last straw. He would do well with someone with land, patience, and experience with reactive dogs. He has made good friends with dogs before, but it really depends. Cats are an absolute no, unfortunately. We love him and rehoming him has been a tough decision to make. We hope someone out there is looking for a good walking buddy who will love him like we do.
