This handsome young man is Boone (Dougie)! He is the perfect mix of high energy playfulness and sweet cuddly calmness when it's time to settle down. He is in foster with 6 other dogs of all ages and sizes, and gets along well with all of them. He has an amazing tempermant and is fantastic at dog parks. He is also cat friendly. Boone rides nicely in the car-he excitedly jumps right in, walks well on leash (except when he spots squirrels, he pulls pretty hard and will need someone strong and consistent to help him continue to work on it!), does amazing in his crate-goes right in on command, sleeps through the night, 99% housebroken (has had a couple accidents in the midst of playing hard), not a barker, and knows basic commands. He is VERY affectionate and is sure he is a lap dog! Boone thrives on approval and praise from his humans and will likely be a very loyal pup. Boone would love to find a home where he receives a fair amount of activity/enrichment/excercise and a whole lot of loving! He would like a home with plenty of space to run with his toys... and a fenced in backyard where he can chase squirrels and lizards would be a huge bonus! He would love for his human to take him on lots of walks (maybe even runs!) and adventures, throw his ball, and tug his toys...most of all, give lots of snuggles!
