Have you ever read a novel that has so many twist and turns that by the time you get to the last chapter, you have NO idea who won and who is the REAL good guy?? Well, I believe my life is like that. I came from somewhere, no one really knows where, and I ended up at the pound, somehow.... So i was actually adopted as a cute puppy from the pound..... and THEN 5 months later... I was saved at a busy intersection with a badly injured back leg.... no "family" around :( SO, luckily I was saved by a RESCUER!!! I mean, what are the odds?? So my name is Artie and now I am healed up and looking for my furever REAL family. I am a great sized pup, 30# of fun and love and all kinds of playtime! I love to run and play, tug of war and keep away I excel at and the zoomies too! I am great with other dogs, and kids and am ok with cats but require a good introduction and experienced dog/cat introducer with monitoring as I may chase a kittie if it runs. So, I also have learned quite a few commands, sit, stay, crate, working on leave it. I am super smart AND MOTIVATED to help find my next best chapter. I will cuddle with you when I am tired and I love to be close to you. ADOPT ME SOON!!! My foster mom chronicles my antics.... i am a very large ploppy, derpy puppy she says. I am kennel and potty trained. I love to explore with my nose and my two front paws. I am good on a leash, but can get excited when I see another dog because I love them all. My favorite things are going for a run and romp... then coming in and chewing on a beef cheek roll or a beef bone my foster momma gives me. I love toys... all toys, but love my stuffies the best. I am very quiet... much unlike what people think when they hear the breed 'hound'. I am looking for a forever family...a family that will take me on adventures and be active with me. I have had so many chances in my young life. Seriously...I was found with four siblings at about 2.5 weeks old, dumped in a box at the post office... we were so, so sick and close to death. My rescue mom really worked hard to get us healthy and LIVE. And we did! About 6 weeks later, we all got parvo..... and my rescuer was able to nurse all of us out of it! All my siblings have been adopted, and I am ready too! I am somewhat shy and will take time to settle into my new family. But I will adjust. I am best with another dog, calm and confident, because I will mirror that energy. As a gorgeous catahoula/whippet mix, I have plenty of energy and I love to play! I am pretty potty trained, except when I get distracted.... which happens with ADHD puppies. SNIFFING and FETCH are my FUN games. I can't WAIT until you adopt me, so HURRY!!!
