Hugh was owner surrendered to us.  He is super sweet and playful and seems to get along with other dogs.   He does not like men however.    video included of him playing with his buddy Mia est dob 9/24/16 The standard adoption fee is $200, but it may vary depending on the situation and the animal. This includes vetting such as shots, spaying or neutering, microchipping, deworming, and heartworm testing if the animal is over six months of age. Please note****  We are a volunteer organization.  Adoption events are held every Saturday 10-2 at our facility located st 2049 Badin Rd.  Most of our animals are in foster homes.  Please contact the foster if you would like to meet one of our rescues.   You may complete an application for approval to start the adoption process at www.stanlycountyhumanesociety.org, under the 'Adoption' tab. And let me tell you—I’m making the most of it! First things first: I am house trained, handsome, and hilarious. I LOVE toys—squeaky, bouncy, chewy, you name it. If there’s a game of fetch or a good ol’ tug-of-war, I’m all in! Humans are my favorite—I just want to be around my people and soak up all the love they’ve got to give. I can get along with other dogs, but honestly? I’d rather be the king of my castle. And when it comes to food, I prefer to keep my dinner mine, thank you very much. My dream home? A quiet place with some awesome humans who want a loyal, loving, and slightly goofy sidekick. No tiny humans running around, please—I prefer a more relaxed vibe. If you’ve got a couch, some snacks, and space for a four-legged shadow, I’m ready to move in.
