Meet Sneezy, AKA Amos! This is one very sweet boy. He is great on leash, seems fine with other dogs and rides well in the car. He is a well mannered, affectionate boy who likes to give sweet kisses. Amos is the total package, don’t miss out on this boy! Oh, except for chickens, no chickens! Amos is not fond of chickens.Puppies 6 months and under are typically $200 and dogs from 7 months to 6 years are typically $100.00. The adoption fee may be higher or lower than stated however, and is dependent on many factors including age, behavior, medical condition and demand. All dogs 7 years and older are free under our Saving Seniors program. We frequently run discount specials and occasionally a dog will be more than the stated fee.Most cats and kittens are $35.00, however there may be instances in which the fee is higher or lower, due to age, behavior, medical condition or demand. With felines, we always have an "Adopt one, bring another one home for free" adoption special!

Meet Nyx, the resilient and spirited pup with a heart full of love and a story of strength. Nyx first joined the HCAS family as a tiny puppy with a broken leg back in May of 2021. Despite her early challenges, she was adopted and began a journey with a new family. However, her journey took an unexpected turn, and she found her way back to HCAS in January of 2025, emaciated and suffering from a severe, untreated case of flea dermatitis.Nyx`s return was a heartbreaking sight. She was one tall and skinny pup, covered in painful scabs with very little hair. But with the dedication and care from the HCAS team, Nyx is on her road to recovery. Through many soothing baths and the right medications, her skin is healing, and her fur is gradually making a comeback. While we can`t promise that all her hair will return, what matters most is her indomitable spirit and boundless affection.Despite everything she`s been through, Nyx remains the sweetest girl. Her loving and cheerful attitude lights up the room, and she adores being around people. In our playgroups, she’s shown to get along well with other respectful dogs, proving that her heart is as big as her spirit.Nyx is now looking for her forever home—a place where she can continue to thrive, shine and be in a family where she can be treated like the queen she is.

This handsome guy is currently in foster care, where he’s learned to be house trained, crate trained, and lives happily with an 8-year-old kid. Moose might start off a little shy, but don’t let that fool you—he warms up quickly, especially when you’re patient and give him the time he needs to feel comfortable. Once he does, you’ll see his playful, loving side shine through! As for his funny side? Moose has been known to think he's a lap dog despite his long, gangly legs. Dulce is right at 70 lbs and she takes a minute to warm up to new people , but shes fun and playful and affectionate when she does. Didn’t take her long at my house. Dulce’s mom is a Mal , they were surrendered together because of landlord issues, I pulled them both and her mom is in a wonderful home. Dulce loves to play and wrestle with the other dogs and I think she’d do best in a home with another dog/s for that reason. She’s great in the house, potty trained and crate trained .
