Lucky is a playful boy who absolutely LOVES toys, he is also great when playing with other pups. This special boy is a well-rounded, loyal, and funny pooch who loves to explore. He's dignified and gentle, affectionate and smart! Lucky Dog is a true all-rounder and will be your very best friend from the moment you meet. While he loves being outside and letting all his energy out he loves even more to come in and curl up on a nice sofa. He truly is a one of a kind boy! we promise you will fall in love with Lucky! Story
Benny is originally from South Carolina, however we adopted him in Rhode Island. Due to financial hardship, we had to move and our new landlord isn't allowing Benny to stay on the property. Benny needs plenty room to run and play. So he needs a large property or a farm. He is all caught up on his shots, and comes with vet records.

Story
Meet Boone Boone is an absolutely stunning young dog. We rescued him from a high kill shelter. We think Boone is a Plott hound mix, possibly Tennesee Treeing Hound based on his overall looks and ears. He came in to us as an older puppy and sadly, he is still with us after over three years. Boone is just over 4 years old and is 57 lbs of muscle and heart. Since arriving Boone has been a gentleman dog. He’s really friendly. He’s energetic, but it’s not frenetic activity. For such a young dog, he is polite and rather calm, especially considering how long he has been confined to a shelter. He walks great on a leash, and loves being out of his kennel to enjoy the companionship of his person. Boone will make for a great hiker. This breed is known for its stamina, endurance and agility. They can be all business and focused when working or engaged in training, but when at home they are mellow and enjoy the downtime. Boone is definitely a staff favorite and our hearts are broken that he has been with us so long. Boone is smart and alert. He will do best in an active home where he is physically and mentally occupied. He seems to like other dogs and seems to be cat friendly. Boone settles in and his personality comes out more every day. He is going to make for a wonderful companion and will be loyal to his people. If you are looking for a fun, sweet and active boy, not to mention incredibly handsome, Boone may be the one for you. If interested in Boone, please submit an application online at: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org or email us for an application. If you submit an online application, please email or call us so we can verify we have it. Our email is smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net. Phone: 706-865-4135 All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.als waiting for space to open. Adoptions and meet and greets are being scheduled by appointment only. Needs experienced adopter,
Story
My neighbors found two adorable pups in the woods. No shelters were able to take them, and now they are at my mom’s house as we’ve been unable to find anywhere for them to go. These puppies are so so sweet, and we hope to integrate one of them into our existent pack. Sam, is very energetic, loving and cute- but not the right fit for our pack. After our lack of success with shelter seeking, we have essentially become foster parents to Sam and his sibling. That said, it is difficult to manage with our own dogs and we do not have the resources to continue fostering both puppies long term. I would guess Sam is somewhere between 2-3 months old. He is eager to please, affectionate &loves to play. He would do well in a home with another dog whose temperament aligns well. We are committed to finding the right home for him and will require thorough info, a home visit, and an adoption fee to ensure he goes to a well prepared owner. All inquires will receive a response. Thank you!
