This is Pecan, she is a 4 year old Plott Hound mix that I’ve had for the last 3 years. She was trained at Cowboy k9 Academy and they will honor her life time support for training with the new owner at NO additional cost. They also offer boarding that comes with training while you’re away, I am not sure on their rates but definitely worth it if needed. - Incredibly playful - Loves her long walks and tracking rabbits - Very well behaved at home - She knows several commands, sit, stay, bed(or room if you designate one), heel, free, potty (if you want her to do her business in a specific spot), track (if she picks up a scent, great for mental stimulation), leave it/ drop it, paw (to shake hands) - Potty trained - No destructive behavior (besides soft toys) - Loves tug o war, bones, and chasing a ball on occasions - Her energy is very manageable, couch potato but will be energetic when you want her to - No separation anxiety - Crate trained - Likes to "talk" -Loves blankets! - 4 yrs old

Hi my name is Teddy Bear. While I may be a big boi, I am a scared boi too. I need parents that will respect my boundaries and go slow with me. Once I feel safe, I am a loving fella. I would do best in a low traffic home so that I can relax. Not to brag but I am house trained, crate trained, and in a low traffic environment, I am a loose leash walker who moves at a slow pace. I love treats, especially cheese so hopefully my new family will have lots of cheese. Pets from the people I trust are another favorite treat of mine. Guess what: I have the potential to live with cat siblings. Currently, I'm learning how to be more confident around other patient dogs in Play Group here at APA! If you come to meet Felicity and give her nose a massage, she will decide you're her new best friend. She loves getting nose petting and massages! She wants to be next to her human friends. When her foster mom is on her computer, Felicity snuggles on her feet, hoping she'll pet her nose. Felicity is also very playful. She has fun playing with her doggie sister and playing tug-o-war, keep-away, and chase with her people and then chewing up her toys. She also loves playing with water hoses and sprinklers. Plus, she's always looking for rocks and carries them in her mouth. She also loves going for walks and does well. She will pull to sniff things and may bark at dogs she sees. She gets very excited when meeting new people and children and may hop up to greet them but is getting better about it. She can also be very energetic and bouncy with people and is fearful of veterinarians, so is under more training. Felicity is smart and already understands many commands, including shake, catch, muzzle, sit, wait, and touch. Her behavior is perfect when her fosters are away from home. She just goes to sleep. A crate is available, and she may go in it, but doesn't have to. And she is house-trained. This sweet, affectionate girl will love a patient parent who has a lot of time to continue her training and help her become comfortable with veterinarians. Story
I took Kino in temporarily about a year ago. I wish I could keep him but I cannot so I am looking for a good home and good fit for him and his new family. Not sure of his breed but was told possibly a Bull Mastiff and Catahoula mix. Kino is about 4.5-5 yrs old . I think he would be well suited for a male or possibly even a younger adult female that can handle his weight when he is playing tug o war with the rope or just walking. He listens very well. He does not like water but LOVES to go for rides. I don't let him on the bed but i do let him on the couch. He loves to move all the throw pillows around and get them just right before he lays his head down for a nap. Kino is a unique dog that doesn't require a lot of attention - once you've had him for a week, you'll know what i mean - just a GREAT dog that is full of love!! Adoption fee will be donated back to the shelter.

Kuma was adopted from an accidental litter in Austin, TX. She's 2 years old and she's the sweetest pup you'll ever meet. Kuma would do great in a house with an active family and/or with another puppy sibling. She loves going on walks, playing fetch and tug-o-war, and being cuddled. She's house-trained and knows many commands to varying degrees of discipline, but if you have treats she's all ears. She's crate trained. She sleeps in there through the night. She is also good in there during the day time for up to 3-4 hours if need be (better if she has plenty of play time before that). She has no behavioral issues except being the most lovable dog I've ever known. Rehoming fee can include all her belongings if requested. Includes leash, harness, crate, toys, food, etc.
