Brinkley is gentle, submissive, and calm. She has learned a lot in her many years. She knows the sit, stay, come, no, and down commands. And she taught herself how to open gate latches and jump fences. She's one smart cookie. She is house trained and spent her days in a room with a baby gate. When she needs to go out, she'll simply walk to the door. She weighs 53 pounds and is still moderately active. She likes chase, wrestling, running, walks and car rides. She eagerly and willing hops into the car. She enjoys leading the way on a leash but usually won't run away while off leash. If she does, she'll come back if you call her. She is terrified of thunder and doesn't like being alone. During storms, she'll need a sturdy crate. She is protective of her home. She has been around children and is easygoing, friendly, playful, submissive, and gentle but possessive of her toys. She would be better with older kids who know to leave her "stuff" alone. She loves sitting on a lap and being petted. She'll love getting all the attention because she'll need to be your one and only pet. She has issues with cats and dogs. She was given up after many years because her family moved to a place where she wasn't allowed to live. She is curious, tolerant, and totally lovable. We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier. Our application review takes about 10 days. This adoption process will require 3 videos of (outside of your home, backyard, and inside of your home) since we are not able to conduct home checks at this time. We will be calling 2 references (Not related to you please). We will be contacting your veterinarian (We work with 1st time owners) to make sure you have vaccinated all your pets yearly, and that all have been spayed/neutered. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Colorado & Canada. We will book your baby as soon as adoption & transport fees have been received.
