Story
Ella is a gentle dog, but she does have a lot of muscle. Great with kids and other dogs. Likes to play with cats, but we’ve never had any issues with her hurting them. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same thing about our livestock. She doesn’t maul them or viciously attack them, but more plays with them like toys. She has killed a lot of our poultry and rabbits. She doesn’t eat them, she shakes them and pulls out their feather, but does end up killing them in the process. She’s a loving sweet dog that loves to run. She does know her name, but her breed does better tethered or leashed when lose as she does not return when called. It’s only because of our livestock that she cannot stay with us any longer.

Story
This boy was part of a neglect/ hoarding case. He is very friendly… with everything! He likes people, kids, either dogs…..not sure on cats but we’re sure he would do well. He has a wonderful personality, he does not need to be in charge. He does well with other dogs and is good on a leash. He loved everyone at an adoption event, he does not meet a stranger!! He is a super good boy who is ready to finally find a home of his own. He will need housetraining but we think he does have some training already. He listens well, just needs some work on manners. He does jump when excited so beware smaller kids. He would do well with a yard or plenty of exercise. An active family would be best as he does not like to sit still when around people, he’s just too excited and happy. He is ready to find his own energetic family.

Story
This is the sweet, loving, gentle Tiger Lily (at our foster home we call her Lily)! She is a small girl with a fuzzy brindle coat and warm heart. Lily has  been quite the busy girl since coming to Virginia from Louisiana. Since she’s a singleton pup so she is getting lots of focused attention and training. She is already learning sit, down, and come. She practices leash walking daily. She is learning to potty outside and doing fantastic. She spends the night alone in her pen and doesn’t cry. And she is crate training with her foster family both nearby and away from the crate and she does extremely well. She has a three year old foster brother that she is playing with and takes his alpha cues appropriately but maintains her desire to play. On top of all these amazing good girl traits, she is just the sweetest and gentlest baby. She loves to snuggle and be right with her people. She has not had issues with mouthing and responds to correction and redirection. Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org August 19, 2024, 8:28 am

Leela absolutely loves to play fetch and is amazing at it. If fetch was an Olympic sport, you would want her on your team! She will be by your side in so many fun activities from playing in the water to hiking up a mountain; she is the sporty sidekick you've been looking for. Need some cuddle time? She will snuggle up right beside you for movie night. When she was young, she was hit by a car, causing permanent damage to her left eye but it causes her no pain and does not require any treatment or medication. You would never know she is blind in her left eye. Leela just wants to be your best friend and aims to please the people in her life. Her reaction to seeing you when you walk through the door will make you feel like the most loved person in the world. Leela would love to finally have a family of her own. Sadly she has been in shelters since mid-2019 and came to us from a municipal shelter in West Virginia. She is an amazing dog with so much to offer and deserves a loving home as much as the next gal. Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13732Hi!My name is Mama and recently came up to Maryland on the OPH transport. I’m guessed to be a Plott Hound/Lab mixed breed dog. I am about 3 years old and weigh about 51 lbs. I am a very sweet, low key girl. I have been an excellent house guest:***I sleep all nite in my crate and wait quietly until my family wakes up. I also will hang out in my crate during the day to nap. ***I haven’t had any “accidents” in the house and let my fosters know when I need to go out. ***I am learning to walk nicely on the leash.***I know sit command. I’m a smart cookie and could certainly learn more.I really enjoy going on walks and hanging out outside. I get along well with my foster brother and have started playing with his toys. I love head and belly scritches. If you are looking for an easy going dog, then I’m your girl. I can't wait to get to my forever home! Is that with you? Apply to adopt me today! This cuteness won’t be available for long!
