Story
Remember Noah? Noah came to us a few weeks ago from our local shelter, Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center. He spent about 4 months there hiding under his dog bed! Now, he's thriving in a life-saving, foster home! Noah is a petite, plott hound mix who weighs about 35-40 pounds and is about 1.5 years old. He's still scared of loud noises and needs a securely fenced yard and a least one other playful dog for him to be comforted by. Noah loves playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He is crate and house trained and is building confidence every day! Noah is a special guy who deserves the best of furEVER homes! And we are ready to help him find it! Can you be the happy ending that Noah has been waiting for? Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. Story
Hello, I'm Brinn. My days as a hunter are behind me, but I still have a keen sense of curiosity. I may be a senior, but I'm young at heart. I'm smart, brave, and mellow. I love to explore, but I also enjoy a good nap. I'm a gentle soul who loves to meet new friends. I'm as loyal as they come, and I promise to be your steadfast companion. I'm sweet and friendly, always ready to greet you with a wagging tail. Adopting me means gaining a friend who will cherish every moment with you. I may be in my golden years, but I have a lot of love to give. I'm looking for a forever home where I can spend my days being loved and cherished. I promise, I'll be the best friend you've ever had. I'm dog-friendly and seem to like cats (more cat testing can be done). Brinn is spayed, and vaccinated for dhlpp, bordetella, and rabies. She has a 4DX heartworm test and microchip with lifetime registration. Brinn is on monthly parasite prevenatives. Also included in the adoption are 30 days of Pet First Pet Insurance, and Petco's Free Welcome to the Family Program. Story
Luna has been part of our family for a little more than a year. She is kind, energetic, and loving. She loves chasing and being chased by people and dogs alike. When the day is over, nothing makes her happier than dozing next to her human on the couch. We are rehoming Luna because she has become very anxious around our small children and we want her to be with a family where she can be herself. She would be an amazing companion for families with older kids, or for someone whose family is just furry friends. We are so sad to be saying goodbye to Luna, but we know she will make someone else very happy. She is spayed, chipped, has had leash training, completely housebroken, but she does need to be on a leash when she is outside. Otherwise, her nose takes over and she jets off to explore. She is usually fine around other dogs, we haven’t seen her interact with very many cats. We are hoping she can be with someone who will love her, pet her, and treat her like the good girl she is.
