Story
Video of Poppy now: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/JfNL3x4OSbA Video of Poppy when he was first rescued: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Q9nNafh25VI Poppy is about 7 months old and appears to be a plott hound mix. He came to our rescue tiny, starved, and with a limp. He is now a big, healthy boy and is ready to find his happily ever after. He has been raised among dogs of all sizes and is great with everyone. He doesn't have an ounce of aggression and is submissive or even-keeled with other dogs. He is also great with cats. He follows me without a leash, doesn't run off, does well in the crate and loves water. He is currently still in Oklahoma but can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. We have frequent transports to the locations below. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of the locations. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find him a local foster or he will go back to Oklahoma on the next transport until a new home is found. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Seattle/Tacoma) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Illinois (Vandalia) - Indiana (Spiceland) - Ohio (Columbus) - Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh) - New York (Albany and Buffalo) - Connecticut (Enfield) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed, heartworm tested (negative), on monthly heartworm prevention, on monthly flea and tick prevention. Adoption fee: $485 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma) Adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

He came to our rescue tiny, starved, and with a limp (last video). He is now a big, healthy boy and is ready to find his happily ever after. He has been raised among dogs of all sizes and is great with everyone. He doesn't have an ounce of aggression and is submissive or even-keeled with other dogs. He is also absolutely great with cats. One of the few dogs I would leave unattended with my cats even if I am gone for a long period of time and not worry about it. He follows me without a leash, doesn't run off, does well in the crate, will go to the door when he has to potty (but will likely need a little bit of re-training in a new/non-rescue environment) and loves water. He will bark at strangers if they come to the property which is a great deterrent for unwelcomed visitors but is sweet when he sees that there is no danger so he will protect you without causing any problems for anyone who is welcome at your home. Dare I say he is the perfect dog? He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Seattle/Tacoma) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Illinois (Vandalia) - Indiana (Spiceland) - Ohio (Columbus) - Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm test (negative). Story
THE BEST family dog! This adorable brindle girl is as sweet as it gets. When TInsley met her 4 year old friend she was ever so gentle and careful with her. Tinsley even shared her toys with her new friend. With the cutest smile and and face that lights up when you are around, Tinsley will keep you laughing and smiling. Fall in LOVE with our girl: https://youtu.be/FPMGN7c_QzI Tinsley is the ultimate companion and a true social butterfly! This bundle of joy is bursting with personality. You’ll never find another pup like her! She’s always smiling and loves everyone! Joyful and adventurous, Tinsley enjoys exploring, car rides, walks, playtime, kids, dogs, and of course, toys! Tinsley is also the funniest playmate for other dogs! She would love to have another dog in the home that is as equally playful so she can play chase and romp around in the yard. She has a fun playful energy level and loves to cuddle and nap after a good play session. She’s a snuggle bug with both human and doggy friends. Great with kids as young as 4, she would make an excellent family dog. Tinsley is still working on her leash skills and promised to work hard on polishing them while she waits for you. At approximately 2 and a half years old and about 50 lbs full-grown, she’s the perfect size for all your adventures. As a rescue, her exact breed and age are a bit of a mystery, but that just adds to her charm. We are guessing she is some sort of pittie hound mix. Tinsley is a one-of-a-kind friend who can’t be matched. From laughter and fun to snuggles and TV watching, to car rides and adventures, she is ready for it all! Don’t miss out on this incredible girl! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6682f1ef161fe88201032278 Please email jessicak@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption to anywhere in the US. We transport near or into NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van or bus transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. We can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $750 and includes all vetting per our veterinarian: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery, flea prevention, 2-6 months of heartworm preventative according to age, heartworm testing and heartworm treatment if applicable, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
Meet Stormy! She is currently about 8 weeks old, weighs only 6 pounds, and we think she may be a Plott Hound mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Stormy's video here: Stormy is pure joyful puppy – we love herplayful personality and curiosity! Both Stormy and her brother Bear are currently fostered with a wonderful family that has taken care of them since they were tiny newborns (which involved bottle- and mush-feeding them because of their size at the time). They have a larger 2-year-old foster sibling dog that tolerates their puppy antics with grace. Stormy has quite the inquisitive nature, and is always investigating her surroundings (and her foster siblings’ tails lol), but is always up for snuggles and cuddles. We love the fact that this affectionate girl loves belly rubs and will let you hold her upside down like a baby in your arms, at least for a short while! Like her brother, Stormy is a gorgeous brown and tan brindle, with an adorable white patch at her chest and the tiniest white “pedicure” – her markings have to be seen in person to truly appreciate them. In the natural sunlight, her colouring really shines! Stormy loves the outdoors, and is progressing well on potty-training. We predict that Stormy will be the best walking and hiking partner – up for any outdoor adventure then ready for snuggles inside afterwards. You are bound to enjoy nothing but clear skies with Stormy Chai! Stormy is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, she will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend!
