Story
***Seeking Foster-to-Adopt*** 🎉 Meet Pogo, the ultimate good vibes pup with energy for days! 🎉 This 1.5-year-old Podengo is a walking party on four legs—everything is a game, and every day is the best day ever in Pogo’s world. His favorite chew toy? Lamb Chop (who doesn't love Lamb Chop?!) ? His hobbies include: 🐾 Indulging in gentle scritches of his super soft ears  🐾 Showing off his yoga stretches after naps 🐾 Delivering sweet, slobbery kisses Pogo is the life of the paw-ty and loves everyone—even the vet! He’s crate trained, house trained, and is still mastering the fine art of leash manners and basic commands. If you’ve got an active lifestyle and need a buddy who’s always down for fun, Pogo’s your guy. He thrives on both mental and physical stimulation—so get ready for some serious playtime! Dog-friendly? ✔️ Absolutely! Cat-friendly? 🤔 Kinda... He’s curious and will chase if they run, so a dog-savvy cat who can give him the "dude, chill" look would be best. Right now, Pogo’s rocking the cone of shame (not his favorite accessory) while recovering from surgery for a front leg break. He’s being a total trooper despite limited playtime and crate rest but really can’t wait to be back to full-speed fun. We’re looking for a foster-to-adopt hero to help him finish his 5-6 weeks of recovery with love, patience, and plenty of belly rubs. Ready for endless laughs, adventure, and a whole lot of love? Pogo's your perfect match! 🐾 If you are interested in finding out more about Pogo, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Pogo is being fostered in Clinton, MA. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Meet Hunter, the 6-month-old Podengo puppy with a name as fitting as his epic energy! True to his sight hound roots, this boy’s got serious “hunt for fun” instincts—whether it’s a toy, a leaf, or the invisible scent of adventure. He’s very smart too, mastering routines faster than you can say, “Who’s a good boy?” (Spoiler: it’s him.) Hunter is the life of the paw-ty! He’s super friendly with people, dogs, and probably your mail carrier too. But be warned—when he needs to go outside, he will let you know… loudly. Think "future lead singer of a rock band" loud. So, he’s best suited for a stand-alone home where his vocals won’t bother the neighbors. As a classic Podengo, Hunter needs plenty of exercise and would love a securely fenced yard where he can zoom around safely. This breed is built for speed, much like a mini greyhound, which means off-leash play in open areas isn’t ideal—they can get going so fast it can be dangerous! Now, about his leash skills… Let’s just say Hunter thinks the leash is for freestyle interpretive dance. Sniffing, zig-zagging, pulling—you name it, he’s doing it. But hey, with his brains, he’ll get the hang of it in no time (especially if treats are involved). Hunter’s ready for an active home where he can be your adventure buddy, cuddle champion, and occasional loudmouth. If you’re looking for a hilarious, lovable, high-energy pup who’s ready to be your new best friend, Hunter’s your guy!
