Meet Duke ! He is a sweet , fun , loving boy who constantly wants to give everyone affection. He loves playing with his toys but also loves his naptime. It breaks my heart but unfortunately im no longer in a position where i can take care of him and suit his needs due to my schedule. Id rather see him with a family who can suit his needs since it would be more fair to him. Come by and meet him just shoot me a message !

Meet Sheldon: Your Future Furry Best Friend! Name: Sheldon Age: 10 Months Old Breed: Pointer Mix Gender: Male Temperament: Playful, Energetic, Curious About Sheldon: Say hello to Sheldon! Sheldon is a young, full of energy and curios pup. He can be nervous with sudden movements and sounds. But once he gets comfortable, he is the happiest boy! He started learning that sounds and people are not a threat and enjoys his walk. He showed no signs of aggression towards cats, other dogs or people. He does get a little excited and mouthy but he knows his commands such as 'yes', 'no', and 'sit'. He is still learning to trust people, but give him some time and he will be your best friend. We recommend that Sheldon goes home to a family with no children under the age of 13. If you'd like to meet Sheldon, please email lisa@wagspetadoption.org! We are open from Tue - Sun: 1:00PM - 5:00PM.

Story
Pointer mix – Tri-Color Male 11 weeks 17 pounds At Rancho Coastal, puppies become available for adoption starting at 8 weeks of age. Many of these puppies have spent time in loving foster homes, with some even being bottle-fed during their earliest days. As they grow into adulthood, puppies require ongoing training, socialization, and enrichment to thrive. Adopting a puppy is a significant commitment, and we encourage potential adopters to carefully consider their schedules, time spent away from home, and the ages and needs of all family members before making this life-changing decision. Most puppies arrive at the shelter as strays, so their histories are often unknown. Enrolling in a puppy class is highly recommended for all puppies in our adoption program to build a strong foundation for good behavior and bonding. To support this, adopters who complete a minimum 4-week introductory training course with a science-based dog trainer are eligible for a $50 rebate on the adoption fee." An adoption survey and instructions can be found on our website. Adoption Hours: Wednesday-Monday; 11 AM to 4 PM (Adoptions until 3:30 pm) Address: 389 Requeza Street, Encinitas, CA 92024

Story
Poki is loyal to the core and will be at your side anytime you need him. He didn't get a fair chance at life when he was born but through years of training and therapy he has made huge improvements in his behavior. Poki was born around 2012 to a home of dog hoarders. When the dogs were removed from the unsafe living conditions in 2016, Poki was about 4 years old and was placed in a dog shelter. In 2016, only a few weeks after being placed in the shelter, he was adopted by my husband. He needed a lot of patience and training to help him adjust to living in a one-dog, one-owner environment. In 2017, I entered the picture and we introduced our dogs to each other. Poki took well to my dog (Corgi, female) and we knew it was a good sign that he could be rehabilitated. Over the years we have worked incredibly hard to give Poki the support he needs. We now have a small child, however, and Poki has struggled with this. He needs a home where he can be the main focus.
