Story
Hi! BILLY RAY here!I am a handsome friendly 2-3 year old male pointer mix (they think) that weighs 39 pounds. Im a little short for a full pointer so maybe I have a little short hound in me too! I heard a volunteer say I was a cute micro pointer, whatever that is. I do take treats very gently and am a good boy in the car. When I had my indoor photo session I was so excited and sniffed everywhere. I eventually calmed down and looked at the camera nicely. I really like people and am friendly at first meeting. Im ok with other dogs too. Have no idea about cats. I went to a pet store event and got lots of pets and treats. I even got to play with my newest bff Miles so I know it would be fun to have a brother or sister to play with.Right now am scared of steps, so if you have alot of them, please be patient with me. Check out my video and you can get a better idea of my cute personality and lovableness Wont you please come meet me?Yours (I hope),BILLY RAY ***As long as our dogs are on the website they are available. Story
Mama aka Miley is sooooo sweet. She is a cuddler. Loves belly rubs. Would love a home without cats, shes a english pointer mix so she has prey drive. She is not a fan of my small foster so my big dogs are not a fan of her, so I would think no other dogs either unless experienced in intros. She does great crated and has been barking for potties. She free roams my bedroom and has not eaten or tore anything up. She is spayed/vaccinated and dewormed. Even when she returns her original finder will still be looking for a home for her. She took her on as a foster from a stray roam because she was pregnant and sweet.l but her dogs plus mama and the puppies are overwhelming. She is ome of the most affectionate dogs i have met. She gives small kisses. Loves hugs.

Story
Conrad is a special dog. He came to us as a stray in September with his guard up and not interested in making friends. He is still timid around new people, but his real personality is coming out and he is GOOFY. He loves to play and will toss his toys into the air to catch. We think Conrad would do well in a home with dogs or cats (he seems a little afraid of cats), and with older kids who respect boundaries and will give him a chance to get comfortable. Interested in adopting Conrad? Let us know! Any kids or dogs at home must come in for a meet and greet.

Story
Miss Oreo is ready to find her furever home!  - She’s a pointer mix, about a year to a year and a half old, spayed, and UTD on all vaccines and preventatives.  - She’s a big sweetheart, the best cuddler, loves to sit on my lap while I work, and loves to play! Plus look at the way she crosses those adorable spotted paws!! Such a lady.  - Her breed is known for their high energy and being a working dog. They are also known as bird dogs, so have great focus and make a great hunting partner.  - She does best when she gets a long walk or training session in each day.  - She knows basic commands (sit, paw, leave it, stay, etc.) but is still working on recall and walking on a leash. She is house trained! She is very smart and could learn anything you put the time into!  - She needs a securely fenced in yard as she likes to run, and thinks catching her is a game.  - She would be PERFECT for someone with land, someone looking for a hunting partner, a frisbee partner, a running partner, or looking to train in agility courses!  - She enjoys coming to the barn with me, so is fairly used to being around horses and other barn animals.  - She is not good with other dogs, and would do best in a one pet home -  at least for now. When we first rescued her she was aggressive towards our dogs, and it took us about a week to get them in the same room. They get along well now, but she plays rough.  - She isn’t great with little kids either because of her rough play, but nothing intentionally aggressive.  Please share to help us find Oreo the perfect home and best life that she deserves! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   February 17, 2025, 8:17 pm
