His days are filled with outdoor adventures, frolicking in the kiddie pool with his foster brother, and cozy cuddles during TV time. Meko's spirited antics are sure to bring joy to your day! This healthy, lively pup is one you won't want to miss! Meko comes neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated and micro-chipped. Meko is set to be neutered on July 19th. Story
Meet Socks, a sweet Beagle and Pointer mix. At 3 1/2 years old and weighing 33.6 lbs., she's the perfect size—not too big, not too small. Socks has faced tough times, once homeless and living in a car with her previous owner, she suffered an attack by another dog. Her owner, unable to afford veterinary care, waited five days before seeking help, by which time an infection had developed. Her owner said she couldn't care for her and to euthanize her, the vet instead reached out to our rescue, changing Socks' fate. After surgeries, drain tubes, and sutures, she's fully healed and awaiting her fur's return. Socks is a gem of a dog, eager to be with her people, enjoys car rides, and likes to cuddle on the bed or sofa. She's incredibly endearing, waiting by the door if you leave without her, yet loves off-leash strolls to the mailbox, staying nearby. She's also good on a leash for leisurely walks. Socks is well-mannered and fully housebroken. Could Socks be the dog you're searching for? Set up a meet and greet and see how special she is! Socks is spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, on flea and tick prevention and micro-chipped. $95 rescue adoption fee applies. If you would like an adoption application and to set up a meet and greet, E-Mail or call or text Lori at: 760-680-3713 Located in Grove, OK. More pictures and video available upon request

Story
Juni is a 2 - 3 yr old female Pointer mix. She has a medium energy level, so she should fit in well with most homes provided she receives a moderate amount of daily exercise and play. She comes when called, and loves to hop up into your lap for hugs and kisses. Juni does pull on a leash, but with basic obedience training, she should be walking like a champ in no time! She is food motivated and knows the command sit. She mixes well with other dogs in a kennel, but is afraid of cats in the shelter environment. Dogs are generally tested with dogs of their own size; and dog meets with the resident dogs are always encouraged. Our cat test should be used as a general-purpose screening only to rule out overt aggression; we always recommend caution when introducing dogs to cats in the home. Recommendation on suitability of placement with children by their ages is based on behavioral observations including energy level and response to body handling. We never recommend leaving young children unsupervised with dogs, and we cannot guarantee the behavior of dogs with children, other pets, or cats. Behavior evaluations should be considered as a snapshot of the behavior of the dog at this point in time; JHS believes all dog families need to be prepared to invest time and energy into training as well as provide common sense management of their new dog. We always encourage family to do some research on the breeds or mixes of breeds prior to adoption as many can have some unique characteristics that may or may not fit into their families. Always remember that the majority of dogs at our shelter have been exposed to or may have kennel cough. Kennel cough is contagious to other dogs, please talk to your vet if you have any questions about kennel cough prior to adoption. Please ask your adoption counselor at time of adoption if you have any unanswered questions regarding illnesses and treatments of the pet that you are adopting.
