Story
Hi there! I'm Jerry, and I've come all the way from NC in hopes of finding my forever home. I'm a young guy with a lot of love to give, but I have to admit, I'm a bit of a complicated character. I can be a little temperamental and quirky when meeting new people, so I'd do best in a calm, quiet home where I can take my time to settle in. Patience is essential as I warm up to you and adjust to my new surroundings. Once I do get comfortable, though, I'm all about those big hugs and snuggling up in your lap for attention. I might be a bit moody at times, especially after spending so long at the shelter, but deep down, I'm a sweet boy who just wants to feel loved. A home without little toddlers would be ideal for me since their quick movements can be a bit overwhelming. I'd thrive as the only furbaby, soaking up all the love and attention you have to offer. If you think you have the patience and understanding for a unique guy like me, reach out to my friends here at the shelter. They can fill you in on more about my personality and help us see if we're a perfect match. I'm ready to find a place where I can be myself and show you just how rewarding life can be with a devoted companion by your side! Story
Kelly is on the timid side but is a very sweet dog. Whoever adopts her will have to give her time to come out of her shell. It will probably take a couple weeks before she feels comfortable. In the beginning she will most likely try to avoid the people in the home. Kelley also appears to be more comfortable with women in the beginning than men. Because of her shyness, Kelly should be in a home with older children (15+). Kelly was surrendered when she got into an altercation with another female dog in the home and the owner got bit when she tried to separate the dogs. It was the only time Kelly has bitten and it was not because she meant to bite the owner. Because of this, Kelly should only be in a home with another male dog or be an only dog. Kelly has been evaluated by an experienced dog trainer who feels that if Kelly "goes into the right environment and is given enough time to come out of her shell and bond with her new owners, I think she will do very well. She did not display any aggression when she was being evaluated, she only appeared shy with someone she had never met before. She was very sweet and loving to the person that brought her in, which shows that she will make strong bonds with the people she knows and is a very sweet dog once that bond is made." Outside of the noisy shelter and in the play yard, Kelly is much more relaxed and is very affectionate. She loves attention and being pet. Kelly is about 34 pounds and 6 years old. Give Kelly a second chance and help her find the loving home she deserves. Story
Meet Talia. This sweet petite girl was found all alone and brought to animal control. No one ever came to claim her. She is a little shy and timid but will warm up quickly. Talia gets along with other dogs. She is not a fan of cats. Talia walks well on a leash and enjoys a good belly rub and cuddles. She is looking for a home that will shower her with the love and kindness that she deserves. Talia is about 2 years old and 40 pounds. Please help this sweet girl find her forever home. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Story
My name is Robbie and I am puppy at heart and only 6 months old.  My pictures make me look big but ready I am not big at all. I only weigh 35 pounds at 6 months and they say I will be 65-70- pounds as an adult.  I LUV KIDS!   My heart leaps for joy when I See children that I can play with and love on.  I am a boy that loves to run fast and for a little bit of time too.  I need not only physical Exercise but also some fun games and training games to help my smart brain feel challenged too.  I need a fenced yard and someone To help share playtime and games with me sometimes.  I could use the company of another dog as well to help me with the physical Playtime outside and also to keep me active with socialization with other dogs.   We think that Robbie has some Pointer in him since He raises once leg and seems to point quite often during this outside playtime.  He is alert and very smart.   He walks pretty well on a leash and he is curious to learn more things about life.  He is not inside a lot so we would have to say that he could be housebroken fast if given some one on one Attention and training.  This boy is good with cats, dogs and adores children.  He never meets a stranger and he will needs a fenced yard To best live within safely and to run and play for long hours if the weather is good.  We want a wonderful dog savvy and loving family for Robbie.   He will be a 65 pounds boy when fully grown we think.   If you are interested in knowing more about Robbie please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   Mention where you live.  We transport from Nashville, TN where we are based and we travel to the Northeastern region as well with our pre-adopted dogs.   Thank you for considering this precious boy   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 30, 2024, 2:10 pm
