Story
MY NAME IS FUN TO SAY AND SO AM I!  Est. DOB 11/18/23, weight 31 lb. I'm Lula, a very happy girl who's always smiling and wagging my tail. I love to be around people and my foster mom's 70-lb. dog. I like being in the mix and would do best with another dog to play with and a backyard to run around in. My foster family has two teenagers, but I also do well with younger children. I was just a tiny puppy when I was abandoned at the '401 Cafe in Bellaire. Lucky for me, my foster family pulled me out of the Bellaire Dog Pound just 3 days later on Easter Sunday. It was scary in there with all of the barking! You will be happy to know that I have learned to sit, to stay, to spin around (for a treat), and to run next to the bike. Now I know where the steps are in the pool, and I'm working on learning to like to swim. I now know that when a door opens, I need to sit and be invited to go through it. I'm also learning not to chase my foster family's cats. (I've gotten a lot better at that one after a few bops on my nose!) I'm very eager to please -- so my future is BRIGHT.  Arrange to meet me today so I can cover your face with mushy puppy kisses. HOPE ID D24-0416-0012 If you are interested in Lula and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com and a volunteer will get back to you.August 19, 2024, 3:54 pm

Story
Meet Goose, an adult dog with a personality that's as vibrant as his energy. His playful nature is sure to bring a smile to your face, and his friendly demeanor makes him a joy to be around. Despite his energy and 64-pound body, Goose is also a cuddly companion who loves nothing more than to snuggle up after a day of fun, preferably on your lap. Independent and smart, Goose is house trained and obedient, always ready to show off his skills. He knows the sit, stay, come, no, down, off, and shake commands. His curiosity is infectious, making every day an adventure. He likes to lead while on a leash. While Goose can be a little rough and dominant with other dogs, he behaves well at the dog park and is friendly, playful, and tolerant. He's fantastic with children of all ages and is always excited to make new friends. He does have a habit of jumping up in his excitement, but his sweet nature more than makes up for it. With his unique mix of energy, intelligence, and affection, lovable Goose would make a wonderful addition to any family. Adopt Goose, and let his playful spirit brighten your life. (tw 8/3/2024)Goose is staying with his foster. More updates will follow soon. Please contact his foster, Ram at CAPdogfoster@gmail.com or 281-202-9076 to meet Goose or for any additional details.

Story
Meet Bunny: From Construction Site Survivor to Thriving Companion Bunny's journey is a testament to resilience and the transformative power of love. Discovered living amidst the dangers of a construction site and facing threats from workers, Bunny's early life was far from easy. But her path led her to us, and with a bit of patience and care, she has blossomed into a wonderful companion. Though she’s still getting used to her crate, Bunny excels on a leash and is a great car passenger. However, she has made it clear that she cannot coexist with cats—there are no exceptions to this rule. She does, however, get along well with other well-balanced dogs and enjoys the camaraderie of a pack. Bunny is not just stunningly beautiful; she’s also incredibly kind-hearted. For the ideal adopters, a high fence is a must. Bunny has proven that she can climb any chain-link fence with ease, so her new home needs to be secure. If you're looking for a loyal and loving addition to your family, Bunny just might be the perfect fit. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for. We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters, and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes, our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you can see our posts.  Unfortunately Meet & Greets has been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animal travel has been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and have been very successful.  Please look at our adopter’s reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue ##2145623##
