Story

Stormy (1.5 years old) wants to be your little shadow, staying close to your side and checking out what you're doing (even if it's as mundane as cleaning the litter box...she finds it fascinating!). She is affectionate and enjoys being petted and held. Stormy has extra "thumbs" on her front paws, making her a "polydactyl" cat. Special needs: Stormy and her siblings (Beamer and Stormy; may be adopted individually) were all surrendered to our rescue as babies in June 2022 with severe feline herpesvirus infections. Permanent damage was done to one eye on each kitty, but they each have one perfectly healthy eye. The herpes also damaged their nasal passages, so they don't whisk away particles like they're supposed. The kitties are prone to nasal congestion and may need a course of antibiotics a couple times a year to knock back secondary infections. We are looking for extra-special families to adopt these amazingly sweet but special needs kitties. We certainly don't expect all three to go to the same home but it would be nice if two of the three were adopted as a pair. All are fixed, current on vaccines, microchipped, and negative for FIV/leukemia. Adoption fees will be waived for well-qualified adopters! Rosemary is a Maine Coon mix, with Dwarf features. She is very small, with chubby little legs and a fluffy tail. She has Maine Coon jaw development, ears, and very much a Maine Coon personality. Rosemary is very outgoing and playful. She can be shy, and will run and hide when startled, or at loud noises. She loves bags of any kind and will play for hours with a paper bag!

PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION: Edgar is an adult Maine Coon. He is a big, cuddly boy. Edgar needs a diet of good quality wet food, not dry. He has problems with constipation. He has tested positive for FIV, but is in good health. Recent dental. He will be stressed by other male cats and will be aggressive, but is fine if those other cats are calm. He gets along with females okay. He does not like dogs. He is very affectionate and sweet toward people. He is stressed around small children. Edgar needs in an adopter who has a good relationship with their vet. Edgar is trained to allow claw clipping and likes carriers. He will need frequent claw trims. He is very good with medical care, including oral medication and fluids. He is a large cat, and Maine Coons are smart and need a lot of enrichment in their environment in order to not become destructive out of boredom. The right adopter will understand that a large long haired Maine Coon will need certain additions in their environment and diet. We are not sure exactly how old Edgar is, but we suspect over eight years.
