This is Buffet, a Pomeranian mix born 3/9/24 who has made good progress since joining rescue and his foster family.  Buffet is full of energy and eager for attention from those he is familiar with!  He loves the resident pup, watches her play fetch with fascination, and tries to copy her every move!  He chases the cat from time to time but only to play and make friends.  Buffet is still working on house training but making progress, and he is learning to walk on a leash, which will be easier once he gets his cone off.  Buffet is partially crate trained but prefers his house training tent, which lets him look all around the room.  He has spent very little time alone because his foster parents work from home, but he sleeps through the night in his tent and lets others know when he wakes up early to play.  Buffet is particularly bonded to this foster dad and follows him everywhere.  This has resulted in a steep learning curve for his house training and figuring out how to come when called.  Buffet is still a bit shy with people outside of his foster family, and needs a little time to warm up to newcomers, but he gets there with friendly encouragement.  Because Buffet is still young and a bit inexperienced, he can get underfoot while following his people, so care is needed around older adults, young kids, or anyone for whom mobility is an issue to avoid tripping.  Buffet has just been altered and is still wearing his cone or the donut his foster dad got for him to make him more comfortable.     Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Hi, my name is Petty (after Tom Petty) but my foster family calls me Junior. I’m young and not very confident yet but I’m getting there! I love other dogs and would love a home with someone to play with. I’m not potty trained but I do go outside if taken out on a schedule. I don’t love to be in a crate. My name is Fergus, and I'm a 6-month-old male Pomeranian weighing in at a fluffy 10 pounds. I’m a very happy and energetic pup who absolutely loves people and other dogs. My favorite things to do include chewing on toys—if no toys are available, I will find something to chew on. I especially like squeaky toys and hard toys. I’m almost potty trained, especially when kept on a good schedule. I'm also doing well with crate training. I don’t need a fenced yard since I walk nicely on a leash to go potty and get exercise. In fact, I walk on a leash daily when outside, and I do really well on it! I even know the "sit" command. I’m a smart little fluff ball! I’m good with dogs of all sizes and don't necessarily need to be placed in a home with another dog as long as the humans are home most of the time. When it comes to barking, I will bark when alarmed or if one of the other dogs has a toy I want. Sometimes they get annoyed and leave the toy, which I then proudly take! Hee hee! I’m a sweet little guy with a lot of puppy energy. I can't wait to find my forever home where I can share all my love, energy, and cuddles with you! *I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. He adores looking outside and will bark at anything that moves, making sure you're always aware of your surroundings. This cuddly pup loves being with you, demanding pets and offering endless snuggles. Occasionally, he enjoys playing with stuffed toys that squeak and chew toys. Outside, he's a big talker, barking at everything that catches his eye. He needs a bit of redirection to focus on doing his business but responds well to praise afterward. He's fixed and just had dental work done, so he's in great shape and ready to bring joy to his new home. She doesn't seem to mind really much of anything. She'll follow you anywhere once she bonds with you, which takes like an hour. She never stops smiling and will look at you admiringly once she knows your the one.  About Me: Hi. My name is Kookie. I love my foster family so much, they spoil me. I love to spend time with them and cuddle them any chance I get. I'm not much of a player, but I do hop around a bit when  really happy.  My two foster brothers are really nice, I'm a little old and don't like so much attention from them, so they keep their distance. I like walks (though I'm still learning how to use the leash properly, sometimes I bark at people and other dogs) but if you are patient with me, I'll adjust well to the leash. My favorite word is “outside” and I'll wake up mid-nap for a bag of cheese opening. I can sit, shake, and lay down. I'm a great little old lady that would love someone to spoil me!
