You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Did I catch your eye? Learn more about me by reading my profile below; I just might be your new best friend! Apply on our website ( https://www.healingheartsrescue.org/adopt )  to  set up a private meeting or check below for my adoption event schedule. Age: Approximately 5-6 years old Weight: 18 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown  Kid friendly: Great with older kids  Potty trained: Almost there! Crate trained: No   Archie is a puppy at heart. He loves to run around and play with people, dogs, or toys, but he is also happy cuddling up in the couch with his person. He tends to find whoever is his favorite person in the room and be their shadow. If he picks you, you will most definitely never do anything alone again! He seems to do well with pottying outside if you pay close attention to his signals, but he has sporadic accidents in his current home. He will let you know if he ever sees someone coming in the house or walking by outside, so shared walls may not be the best for this little guy! He loves being outside and does well on a leash, but he loves the freedom to explore the fenced in yard at his current home. He does well with the 3 year old girl in the home, but does not like when kids quickly approach him, so he would do best in a home with kids who understand dog boundaries. He knows basic commands, such as sit, stay, lie down, and he is very food motivated! Archie is such a sweet, affectionate and goofy guy, and wants to find the person he will love on for the rest of his life! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    DOB: 10/01/2015 Requires another dog in home: Yes, needs another confident dog Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes, dog friendly dogs Okay with cats: Unknown Okay with children under 12 years old: Unknown Weight: 13 pounds Requires a fenced yard:  Yes, needs a fence  Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hello, my name is Jessie and I am the perfect combination of sweet and gentle. I am a timid and shy girl who is making tremendous progress living in a home with a loving family. I have learned so many things – the most important is to trust my people. My people have been very gentle and going slow with me and I have made a lot of progress. She gives me little massages on my head and back – it is so relaxing for me and my people. I have the softest coat and I think you will agree! I am a shy little girl, so having a confident dog in my forever home is required. Another dog will be helpful to show me the ropes, help me get on a routine and help me feel comfortable in my surroundings. Foster mom tells me with a little time and a lotta love, I will come out of my shell and be a great friend to my people. A lot of commotion worry me a bit, so I spend time in my comfy bed watching the activity in the house. Hopefully you have lots of comfy beds for me! Potty training is going great, my foster mom carries me outside and I am good about doing my business on a routine. While I will go potty on a leash, I don't know how to go for walks yet so will need a fence. Maybe there is another dog in the house to show me how to walk on a leash? Hopefully! Anyway, I am ready for my forever. My forever family, my forever home and my forever best friend that will love me unconditionally, not give up on me! I promise I’m worth it and I will fill that hole that you possibly never even knew was there! Love, Jessie *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    How exciting!  I’m so happy knowing I am ready to have my very own forever home and I’m hoping it’s soon.  I may be a bit cautious at first, but trust me, once I realize I'm in a safe and loving environment, my sweet and playful side shines through. I'm learning quickly that I'm surrounded by caring humans, and each day, I'm opening up a bit more. I’m learning so much and starting to come out of my shell. I like having fun with toys, ropes and bones.  I just love playing and also treats.  Every day there seems to be new things to discover and explore. I am showing my people that I am a very smart girl and recently learned the word "sit." I know we will learn so much more together! There are young kids here at my foster home and we have a good time together, too, because they understand my boundaries and are gentle towards me.  Younger kids who are loud and move quickly would not be a match for me.  I do well in my crate and am working on potty training but do well with a good schedule.  We have started practicing leash walking and I am a work in progress. If you promise to keep working with me on leash training, I don't need a fence in my forever home.  I do well with all other dogs (I do prefer the smaller ones) and would benefit from having a confident and social dog in my forever home to help me learn to trust and get on a routine.  Patience is the key as I continue to learn and build trust. I'm destined to become a wonderful companion, and with a little patience and love, I'll be the perfect addition to your family. If you're ready to embark on this journey of trust, love, and playfulness, let's meet soon! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared.  Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses .   Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.   Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hey there, I'm Suzi, your potential new best friend! Let me tell you a bit about myself. I may be a Pom mix weighing in at a petite 15 pounds, but my personality is larger than life. At home, I'm sweet, gentle, and playful—a true good girl through and through. I'm still learning to trust humans, so meeting new people can make me a bit shy. But once I warm up to you, I'm all about those cuddles and scratches. Oh, and chin and back scratches? Count me in! When I'm not snuggling up next to my foster mom, you'll find me napping in cozy dog beds or tearing up the backyard with some epic zoomies. I absolutely adore playing with other dogs, and I'm always up for a game of fetch or tug-of-war. Plus, I'm a foodie at heart—I'll do just about anything for some tasty treats like garbanzo beans, carrots, or chicken. Potty training is coming along nicely, I’m working on doing my business outside or on a washable potty pad indoors. While I'm crate trained and ride like a champ in the car, I feel most comfortable in an x-pen or gated area when left alone. Oh, and did I mention I'm a fantastic mama? I raised six adorable puppies like a boss! But those days are over and I’m ready to be the center of attention. Although I'm still working on leash training, I'm getting better every day. I'll need a fenced yard and a patient owner who can help me build confidence and continue my training. When it comes to grooming, I'm a trooper. I did great at the groomer for my bath and nail trim, even if the dryer was a bit scary. And I'm totally cool with daily brushing sessions at home. Sure, I may bark at strangers or get a little spooked from time to time, but deep down, I'm just a sweet and loving girl looking for my forever home. And if you have other furry friends, no worries—I get along great with cats and dogs alike. I may have some hurdles to overcome, but watching me blossom and grow more confident is truly something special. So, if you're ready to open your heart and home to a girl like me, let's make it official! This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses.  Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.  Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi there! My name is Rocky, and I'm a one-year-old Pomeranian. I'm a small guy, weighing in at just 6 lbs, but don't let my size fool you – I've got a big personality! At home, I'm quite the inquisitive fellow. I love to explore and see what everyone is up to, especially my foster brother. We have lots of fun playing together. When I'm not playing, you'll find me enjoying walks, taking naps, sniffing around the backyard, or just watching everything my humans do. It's all so fascinating! Some of my favorite things include keeping an eye on my humans, going outside, and chewing on bones. I'm also very close to being fully potty trained, especially when I'm on a good schedule. With a little routine and patience, I'll be a pro in no time. I’m crate trained and I sleep like a champ in my kennel every night. I don’t need a fenced yard because I walk nicely on a leash, and I’m out there daily to get my exercise and do my business. I’m great with smaller dogs and would love to have a doggy sibling in my new home, but it isn’t required. I’m generally quiet and only bark when I’m alarmed, which makes me a pretty good watchdog despite my size. My foster family thinks I'm hilarious and super curious about the world. I’ve got a cuddly side too, but I’m definitely not timid like some small dogs. I’ve even got a little underbite that makes it look like I'm always smiling – it's pretty adorable if I do say so myself. I’m looking for a family who will love my playful and curious nature and keep me on a good routine to help me finish my potty training. If you're looking for a small dog with a big heart and a bigger personality, I might just be the perfect fit for you!
