Story
Meet Minhee, a tiny warrior with a huge spirit! Minhee is our senior 10+ years old, 6.5lb Pomeranian from our Busan rescue, and we believe she’s the oldest dog we’ve pulled from the puppy mill. We can only imagine the years of abuse and countless litters she endured. Our mission is for all pups like Minhee to live happily and free - we’re determined to help her find her foreevr family. Despite her past, Minhee is a ray of sunshine! She’s spunky, perky, and she's in great health. She has early-stage cataracts, which have been thoroughly checked by our vets and doesn’t require medication at this time, and are being monitored. She has no teeth, but she happily eats soft, fresh food. Her little tongue peeks out adorably!Inside, Minhee is a whirlwind of activity, exploring her foster home with boundless energy. She’s incredibly food motivated and gets along wonderfully with her foster siblings, even if they’re a bit puzzled by her youthful zest. Her fosters rave about her warm, playful, and open personality – she’s truly a special little soul.Outside, she’s gaining confidence each day and loving her sling walks, enjoying the fresh air and new sights.Minhee won’t be attending public events, but if you’re ready to open your heart to this resilient senior, please submit an adoption application through our link in bio. We’ll contact you to arrange a private meet and greet. Give Minhee the happily ever after she so deserves!
Adopting a puppy mill survivor like Minhee has unique rewards and responsibilities. She has shown incredible resilience and a bright spirit, but dogs from these backgrounds often require patience and time to decompress and adjust to a loving home. She is working on potty training and will need time and training to help her accomplish this. While Minhee is currently healthy and has received excellent veterinary care, potential adopters should be aware of the genetic predispositions common in dogs from such environments, including luxating patellas, heart conditions, dental issues, etc., that could arise later in life, and prepare both financially and mentally to help Irene live every day happy life.
