Story
Honey is ready for adoption! Honey is an 8 month old Pomeranian/Red Heeler mix from a puppy mill. She is up to date on vaccinations, been spayed, microchiped, and on flea/tic preventative. She weighs 20 lbs., and a small to medium sized girl. Honey is a shy girl until she gets to know you. Honey has been in the rescue since she was 13 weeks old and has become very bonded with me. I do believe it wouldn't take long for her to bond with her forever family. Honey is very food motivated, gets along well with other dogs and cats. She likes kids, walks well on a leash, car rides, and attention. Honey does have some anxiety when left alone and will chew up kleenex and cardboard boxes. She does like people around her. Honey has lots of energy and would love a fenced in yard, but she is used to a tieout, so a fenced in yard wouldn't be a deal breaker. For more information on Honey you can contact her foster mom at karenlabarrmclain@gmail.com If you're interested in adopting Honey, please visit our website at www.gertiessmalldogrescue.org There you will find our adoption procedures and fees, Also, an online adoption application that would need to be filled out and summited.

Story
Meet Tink aka Pretty Girl. Tink was a transfer from a local shelter. It does take her awhile (at least a week or two), to trust new people. Because of this, Tink, is a high flight risk. Once she feels comfortable, she will be fine but until then her potential family NEEDS to be on high alert. She has slipped collars and has also escaped from a fenced in yard and ran out of fear. Now that Tink has settled in and feels comfortable in her foster home, she plays with the other furry kids, she loves to be called Pretty and does a little dance and she always looks like she has a smile on her face. Tink seems to be housebroken, but going into a new home she could possibly have an accident or two. Because of her fearfulness, it may be best for her to go to a home with no small children. As you can see from her photos, she does have a cataract in her one eye. Pressures were checked and all is good, but potential adopter should have it checked every year or so. If interested in meeting Tink, please submit an application. Tink is up to date on vaccines, has been spayed, flea treated, dewormed and microchipped. www.pawzandpurrz.org RR335
