He is very shy at first but once he warms up, he is a total lover! However, he is not fond of strangers. He will normally attach himself to calm low voiced peopled. He can be rather dramatic when he's scared of someone. He's young but his time in the hoarding home has scarred him. Sadly, he would do best in a home with one or two people and not many visitors. He gets along with other dogs but does not like them in his face. He also does not play with the dogs. Harlen is great with other dogs and is not at all dominant. Other dogs also seem to put him at ease. He is still shy around people, but each day he gets a little more comfortable as he builds trust and feels safe. Because of his current level of shyness, a home without small children is recommended. He loves to go outside but is still working on associating outdoor time with bathroom time, so accidents sometimes happen. His favorite activity at the moment is finding a quiet corner to take a nap and there might one day even be a great snuggle buddy in there as well. He is not a picky eater, but he is a slow eater so separating him from other dogs at feeding time is recommended.
