**PRECIOUS PEANUT** Age 3mos Phoenix AZ. Welcome back Peanut! Peanut was adopted about a month ago....no matter the circumstance, no matter how long since adoption....our rescues always have a safe home here with us. Peanut came to us just a few weeks old with his mom Candy (pug) (dad is a Chihuahua) and his sister. When it was time for the pups to be on their own mom found a home and it was time for the pups to find fur-ever as well. Peanut is back with us by no fault of his own.....he is s puppy and is exhibiting completely normal puppy behaviors like chewing. Puppies can be very overwhelming for a home that is just not equipped for puppy mania! He is precious, gets along with all sized dogs, loves to swim, potty trained, UTD on shots, microchipped and loves to chew\xF0\x9F不So he needs so go to a home that has the time, patience and resources to teach him appropriate behaviors. Meet Twix! This darling little girl is a 4 year old Chihuahua/Pug blend - aka a chug! She joined us recently from the Humane Society of Yuma, and we told her we'll find a rock star home for her! She'll need a little help learning that a leash leads to good things. She gets so excited at the sound of a squeaky toy and will jump and prance and run around like the silly little girl that she is! She enjoyed meeting other dogs during her behavior assessment, and she'd love to meet you! Twix is living with one of our amazing foster homes and will be available at the adoption center on Saturdays from 10am-4pm. You may arrange a weekday meeting by emailing Debbie@AzFriends.orgNo appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the dog. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)!Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Suri will be available to meet and potentially adopt (pending foster's availability) on Saturdays starting Saturday, August 10th at our PetSmart location (857 N Val Vista Dr, #106, Gilbert AZ 85234) until adopted. The adoption event starts at Noon and goes until 3:00pm. Suri is a lovely 6 month old pug mix! She originally came from Casa Grande Animal Shelter as an owner surrender. Suri is good with small dogs, large dogs (she loves my 100lbs dog!), is interested but respectful of cats, and loves to play with toys! She's doing great with potty training with us and did well with using a doggie door with her last foster family. She's great on a leash and loves to go on our nightly pack walks! She rarely barks unless something scared her (a door slam, loud trash truck outside, etc). We are working on manners and learning how to sit! This beautiful girl would do great in a home with other dogs or by herself. She's content to be right by your side cuddling or in her dog bed.
