Story
Hiya frenzz! My name is SELENA and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Pug Age: 6 months (born Feb 18, 2024) Gender: Female Weight: 15.5lbs (7kgs)  Height: 40 cm (paws to top of my head) Length: 50 cm (head to butt) Neck: 30 cm Current Location: MEXICO CITY RESCUE STORY - Me and my siblings were born in a house with someting called a "family", but we were given up when we were just two months old because they didn't want us. Can you believe it??! Thankfully, our rescuer took us immediately to the vet! Even though we weren't taken great care of for our first two months of life, the vet said we are totally healthly. We've all been waiting in the shelter ever since just WAITING for someone to take us home!  I am an energetic social gal! Sometimes I like to run around and steal food and toys from my siblings. What can I say?! It helps get me attention from the hoomans and then they end up petting me! I just love that. One thing I am working on though is that I because I like hoomans so much, sometimes I nibble on your toes or fingers. Apparently this is someting lots of puppies like to do, but I am told that I REALLY enjoy it! My new family will need to help show me that this behavior is not okay (probably by giving me food when I don't do it heheh).  TEMPERAMENT - I am the most independent out of my siblings. I loveeee to play with both humans and dogs, but I also like to spend time alone just exploring the great big world! Another thing I am a big fan of is F-O-O-D! I am told that I am super food motivated and will learn quickly if you have the right snacks. I don't have any problems sharing my food with my siblings either. ENERGY LEVEL - Medium, I'm a typical pug! I can play but then I am happy for a snooze. GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown.  Dogs –  Yes! I spend a lot of time with doggies at the shelter. Cats – Unknown.  PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – Work in progress. Positive reinforcement will help me learn! I just want to sniff everything hehe. You can see me walk with my sibs here, here and here. House trained – Work in progress. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :) Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES: I am spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying North. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD ($750.00 + PST and GST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and its adoption process. Hola West Coast peeps! My name is DEMI and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Pug Age: 6 months (born Feb 18, 2024) Gender: Female Weight: 12lbs (5.6kgs)  Height: 35 cm (paws to top of my head) Length: 45 cm (head to butt) Neck: 28 cm Current Location: MEXICO CITY RESCUE STORY - Me and my siblings were born in a house with someting called a "family", but we were given up when we were just two months old because they didn't want us. Can you believe it??! Thankfully, our rescuer took us immediately to the vet! Even though we weren't taken great care of for our first two months of life, the vet said we are totally healthly. We've all been waiting in the shelter ever since just WAITING for someone to take us home!  I'm the runt of the litter, but that's never stopped me! Small but mighty should be what they call me. I am an energetic, spunky and playful gal. I loveeeeeee to play with my siblings and I love it when people pet me! Cuddles are one of my favourite parts of the day. I'm super good ta being a lap-dog (as long as you promise to reward me with pets!). I don't mind sharing food with my siblings even though I still need to grow, but I am food motiviated so if you give me the goods, I promoise I will try to listen to you! One habit both me and Selena are trying to break is nibbling on fingers and toes. I can't help it - they look like little sausages!  TEMPERAMENT - I am a spunky gal with lots of energy. Don't worry - like other pugs, I love to snooze too! I am told that I am super food motivated and will learn quickly if you have the right snacks.
