Story
Lola / Holiday, FL Available for adoption Viprescue.org Age: 8yrs Breed: Pug/beagle mix Weight: currently 25 lbs. (should be 18-20 lbs) Gender: Female House trained: yes Location: Holiday FL Color: tan Good with dogs: Yes Not cat tested Fenced yard recommended Hi there everyone! I’m Lola, a very sweet 8 year old Pug-Beagle mix gal. First, let me apologize as I’m a bit overweight, but am working real hard to lose those excess pounds. My foster parents have me on a low calorie diet, and while I’m not crazy about it because it’s so different than the human food I’m used to eating, I am coping with the change and have already lost over 2 pounds! Yeah me!! My friend Bailey (see separate post) and I came to VIP Rescue after we were taken in by Animal Control after our human passed away. I had a couple lumpy bump that needed to be surgically removed, along with a fresh dental and my friends here at VIP took care of that for me. Now I’m all ready to find a new home! My foster parents love that I am such a sweet girl. I get along with all the other dogs in the house and like to play when I can coax someone into playing with me. Otherwise, I’m quite content to hang with my humans while they do whatever they do. I do exhibit a few of the Beagle traits. Sometimes I like to howl at noises I don’t understand. I’d also be a good watchdog, I like to monitor my surroundings and sound the alarm when something seems amiss. Arooooooooo! My Pug traits are more dominant though. I have a happy tail that is more Pug than “Beagley” My curiosity and head tilts are already legendary with foster Mom and Dad. I will barge through closed doors if I get the chance, just like my Pug brother. While I’m generally very easy going, strange noises might frighten me. When foster Mom was using the trimmer, for example, I felt compelled to attack it because I didn’t know what it was! Also, watch your plants; I like to sneak a nibble now and then. I guess that makes me a normal dog just trying to make her way in the world, right? ? I just know if you met me, you’ll fall in love. I’m spayed, microchipped, fresh dental current on my vaccines and on heartworm and flea prevention. Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application if you’re interested in me! ? If you think I might be the girly for you, maybe with my buddy Bailey please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 15-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan. All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, with families, jobs and pets of our own, so please be kind and patient. We select the most fitting application for the dog, not necessarily the timeliest adoption application. Please make sure to read the entire bio on the pet you’re interested in before applying to adopt to make sure you meet the pets needs. Thank you for thinking rescue. Meet Bailey's litter of 6. They were born January 4th in an Alabama animal control facility.  They currently weigh about 5 lbs. We believe Bailey's is a pug/Chihuahua mix and the daddy was a Frenchie mix. We cannot guarantee exact breeds or adult weights of pups in our rescue.  Like all puppies, these are extremely friendly,  playful,  curious,  and very cuddly. These pups have been wormed every 2 weeks and have had their first puppy vaccines.  Prior to adoption,  each will be spayed,  neutered,  microchipped,  vaccinated,  wormed and given flea,  tick,  and heartworm prevention.  Adoption fee is $275. Applications to adopt are at kathisk9s.org Meet greets are scheduled only for approved applicants

Story
Meet our sweet, smart Bailey. She came to our rescue in February with her 6 pups from a northern animal control facility. She was a fantastic mama to her pups. As you can see from her pictures, she gets along wonderfully with the dogs and pups in the rescue- well, not All. She and our 60 pound senior female Lab and Bailey absolutely hat each other. We do not know who gave the evil eye first, but they despise each other. Bailey learns very quickly. She knows Sit, Stay, and how to climb over xpens and crates. What a fantastic agility dog would Bailey be!!! She's been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, and given flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She weighs about 12-15 lbs and is about 3 years old. Her adoption fee is $275. Applications to adopt are at kathisk9s.org Meet greets are scheduled only for approved applicants.

Story
Sonny and Sassy were 2 dogs living in a North Florida home along with 35 other dogs. They were sent to Wakulla Animal Services and were there for 7 months and not adopted because they were terrified of people. This is the result of extreme hoarding due to not being handled. The shelter asked us to take them in hopes of becoming adoptable. These two are very comfortable with the 17 other dogs and pups in the rescue. They follow the heels of their foster mom everywhere, all the time, but when attempting to pick up, they run away. They are a work in progress. Sassy especially wants to bond, as she has a bit of separation anxiety and will whimper until she sees her foster mom. Both dogs have been spayed, neutered, vaccinated, and are heartworm negative. Each dog's adoption fee is $200, or if adopted together (which we are preying for🤞🙏🤞) the fee would be $225. Applications to adopt are at kathisk9s.org Meet greets are scheduled only for approved applicants
