I'm sweet and affectionate but also active, playful, adventurous and I love joining those big pups for walks especially when we head for the river. I'll jump right in with the best of 'em!! I do great with people and all the other foster pups here, big or small. Although I haven't met any of those creatures y'all call a cat yet. I'm a very happy go lucky, fun lovin little gal that would love a home and family that is ready for all this big personality in this small package! Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Sansa - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name, Sansa, in Romania meaning 'chance'. My chance for a loving home and family, my chance to shine!! I was found by a library dumpster, hoping against all hope that someone would find me. I sure enough was and I was deemed the name Sansa! I am a tad bit shy at first meet but it won't be long before I'm following you...everywhere!! I'm only a youngster at around a year old so I have a lot of learning to do about this big ole world yet as new and loud noises makes me a little nervous. I am playful and have a little bit of a goofy side to me. I love playing with my 'sibling' pups and do great with people once I get to know them. I love playing with my toys especially the ones that go 'squeak'!! I'm also quite fond on getting pets on the forehead and my back legs. At about 20lbs I'm a pawsome size for being that companion pup for someone that works from home or is retired. My ideal home would to be part of a family that will have lots of time to give me lovins and attention. I could even do great being that adventure companion! I have so much love to give along with my playful nature (and this cutest little underbite going on) that you just cant' help but want to squeeze me in big hugs!! To get in all those hugs, you just need to fill out my adoption application...today, please!!!!

Story
Meet Whimsy! She’s an adorable little pug mix about 3 years old and 10 pounds. Whimsy is a feisty little lady with so much love to give. She’s energetic and loves to play fetch with toys and run. She’s a dream on a leash, always looking for your clues about what to do next. She’s very eager to please and obedient. l do not think she’d had any exposure to potty training, but she’s learning quickly that when we go outside, we go potty. When she does go potty inside, it’s usually on a pee pad. She doesn’t love getting into her crate, but once there settles down quickly and sleeps a solid 8 hours in the crate with no issues. She hardly ever barks. She does need work on resource guarding from other dogs: food, people, favorite lounging spots and - to a lesser extent - toys. But with the right home, she’s sure to thrive!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.August 20, 2024, 5:35 am

Story
Welcome Stevie to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 16- month old Pughuahua is our best guess. He is a small dog at 15 pounds. He has a great appetite and isn’t picky on his food. He currently eats in his crate. He is very puppylike and playful. He loves the small dog tennis balls. He likes all toys and will take the fluff out of them if he can. He is good in a crate and currently best friends with a small female playful dog in his foster home. He likes to run and play. He is crate trained and, on a schedule, will do all business outside. He is learning the doggy door. He does respond to the word “no” and stops what he is doing when you say it. He is good in a car and now good on a leash. He is friendly with dogs after he meets them. He would prefer a family of small dogs or no dogs would also be fine. When he goes outside to do his business, he does like his family to stay out there while he does his business. He will not go in his crate and will bark when he needs to go while in his crate. He was found as a stray on the streets of San Antonio. He was picked up by a good Samaritan after her day’s work. She saw him before work and after work he was still there so she took him home. He is now in a CCPAL foster home getting his training so he will be ready for his new forever home. He is not a big shedding dog, has an adorable underbite and a very cute curly tail. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi I'm Valeria!  I'm a happy little low rider aka I've got short little legs, but they don't slow me down at all!  I love doing zoomies and I'm so fast!  I love being outside on leash walking with my foster mom.  I get to take in all the smells and noises.  There's always lots of new things to explore and rolling in the grass is just the best! When I'm not busy playing with toys or chewing on bones I enjoy cuddling with my person.  I can be quite the adorable lap dog! I'd love to be the only doggie in your life so I can have all of your love to myself.  I'll give you just as many hugs and kisses as you'll give me.  I haven't met any kids but would probably be fine with bigger kids.  I don't always remember my manners and might jump on little ones knocking them over.  I'm doing well on kennel and potty training and I know I'll master then quickly with your help.  I might bark when first going into my kennel so shared walls might not be best.  I want to make sure your neighbors like me haha!  I should also tell you I love food so I'm told that makes training easy peasy.  Why don't we try it out and see? Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!       Hi! I'm Larceny! My foster mom says I like to do everything "fast". I zoom all over the place and am constantly exploring, sniffing out new things to learn about. I am also a vocal little guy and love to "squeak" to express myself. I am working hard on potty pad and crat training and while I have not mastered either one yet, I am well on my way!  Due to my size, older, respectful kids would be best so I don't get dropped nor stepped on.   I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! P lease note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward.
