Story
Hi, I’m Eli! I’m a special mix of the two best kinds of pugs, the snugglepug and the pugtato. I love to follow my humans around and keep them company. I enjoy a good Netflix binge, but also love to be outside lounging in the garden, feeling the breeze on my tongue. I like walks but my legs are short and I’m not interested in being your running partner. I love to eat and will show off my jump spin skills when it’s meal time, but I have no teeth and need small kibble and soft treats. Since I have no teeth, I’m never going to chew any of your prized possessions. I’m happy to sleep in my crate at night or while you are at work, but I really think I’d make a great work from home companion or office dog, because I’m so friendly and quiet. I will not bark at your clients or your boss, and I would never disrupt a zoom meeting. I am visually impaired and I have a condition called dry eye, so in return for being a charming, loving, and easygoing companion, I need eye drops twice a day, and a home where I will be protected from hazards that I can’t see. My ears and nose help me navigate familiar environments very well, but things like in ground pools and open staircases are dangerous for me. Due to my vision impairment, I would do best in a calm home without young kids. I really love my humans but I would also love the company of another calm dog. My foster mom says I’m just the best boy, and I’m excited to find a home that appreciates how sweet and loving I am.Located in Midland HOME REQUIREMENTS- SINGLE DETACHED HOME/CONDO WITH OUTDOOR SPACE AND FENCED YARD ( NO POOLS UNLESS FENCED) -ELI IS VISION IMPAIRED SO A HOME THAT IS SAFE FOR HIM- OLDER KIDS-HOME WITH A SMALL DOG WOULD BE BENEFICIALSPECIAL DIET AND MEDICATION-Eli doesn’t have any teeth, and needs a small sized kibble. It’s easier for him to eat if the kibble is mixed with a small amount of wet food. He’s eating GO limited ingredients salmon kibble, mixed with a bit of Ultra pate, and his digestive system seems to do very well on it. Eli would also do very well on a raw diet. -Eli has dry eye, and needs eye drops twice a day for the rest of his life to keep his eyes comfortable and protect his vision from getting worse.
