Story
Hi, I'm Shaymus aka Shay. I'm a ladies man, and would prefer a lady-only home where I can be the Man of the House. I am a happy-go-lucky guy that enjoys a good ball and scritches. I have alot of energy and am a big ol' goof ball. I love car rides, and I make it my job to protect my ride. I'm a one-eyed wonder that secretly moonlights as a pirate... I steal covers and kisses. I've also been known to run off with a ball or twelve... but I'll come show you my loot with gusto. The BasicsAge: 7 yrsWeight: 27 lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesMicrochipped: YesVaccines Up-to-Date: YesOn Heartworm Prevention: YesOn Flea/Tick Prevention: YesHouse-trained: Yes, once I've learned the house rulesCrate-trained: YesLeash Skills: GoodLikes/DislikesToys: Loves anything and everythingOther Animals: Preferred only petPeople/Kids: Prefers women, not suited for a home with small kidsCar rides: LovesSeparation: No issuesContact/Application InformationQuestions? Contact Kelli at 803-646-2593 or yndinglane@aol.comCurrent Location: Aiken, SC (must travel/pickup here)Adoption fee: $340Ready to apply? Visit www.bostonterriertn.org ##1558637##

Story
My name is Buster Scruggs.  I am a male Boston Terrier.  I am a super spunky, affectionate, cuddly, wiggle butt.  I’m not much of a fetcher, but do love my tennis balls and chew bones.  I enjoy sunbathing with my humans and leisurely strolls around the neighborhood.  I am a great walker.  I love to take in new smells and may gently guide you where I’d like to explore, but am also perfectly happy letting you take the lead.  I am also very gentle when accepting treats and food by my humans and I will show you what a statuesque sitter I can be.  I do get the zoomies when I come in from the cold outdoors and can be very playful at times, but my favorite thing to do is relax close to my humans, especially if you have a cozy spot on the couch for me.  I bet we even like to watch the same shows and I promise to share the blanket.  I have been respectful of my fenced backyard boundaries and have not attempted any grand escapes.  Did I mention how much I love car rides?  I am a great traveling companion as I stay calm and do not get car sick.  I am also a good boy roaming the house when you’re away.  I have not chewed on anything that doesn’t belong to me or had accidents.  I also do well being confined in your absence.  It makes me sad to see you go so I will whine and may bark a couple of times, but I settle down quickly for a nap while I await your return.  I am dog sociable but will do best in an only pet household because I like to keep all toys and chews to myself.  I have been around cats and with immediate supervision I will respect their personal space, however, when no one is looking I will charge them and could cause harm.  I am very eager to please and respond great to verbal commands and love positive reinforcement.  I am a happy-go-lucky, man’s best friend and am patiently waiting to greet my new family with lots of kisses and cuddles. The rescue says that I am available for their foster-to-adopt program! To find out more about this, email suzycobb@gmail.com. The Basics Age: 7 Weight: 26 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Vaccines Up-to-Date: Yes On Heartworm Prevention: Yes House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes Leash Skills: I sit patiently while putting on my harness or collar and have great manners on our walks.   Medical: When I spend a long time running or playing hard, my back leg bothers me so I will keep weight off it until it subsides.  The vet says I have some slight movement in the knee in my back left leg, but nothing concerning.  She has provided me with some pain medicine when it is aggravated.  I am a healthy and vibrant boy. Likes/Dislikes  Toys: I love toys.  Preferably durable or rubber toys because I do like to unstuff fluffies.  I also love sitting down to a good chew fest on an antler or other chew bone. Other Animals: I like other dogs and interact with them fine as long as there are no toys or chew bone type things available.  I will run and play with them just fine, but no fetching because everything is mine and I get upset when another dog tries to take my toys and will lash out. We have worked with a trainer on this. And I especially like submissive females. People/Kids: My foster family has teenagers and I love to shower them with kisses.  Car Rides: I am an excellent car rider. Separation: I settle down quickly when my humans leave and am content napping while they’re away. Contact/Application Info  Questions? Story
Meet Sam Sam, a super smart splash Boston Terrier. Sam is mostly blind but has crazy good hearing and gets around on his own very well. He adapts quickly to new surroundings. He is a very affectionate boy and loves to give his people kisses. Sam gets along with other dogs, but wouldn't mind being an only dog. He would enjoy a home with a fenced in yard so he can roam (with supervision). He loves chewing bones, playing tug-of-war, and snuggling up next to his humans, especially with his head under a blanket. Sam gets uncomfortable and can be reactive when putting on his collar (harness preferred) or going to the vet, but a little prep (e.g., trazadone & gabapentin 2 hrs before) can help calm him. He's quite the character overall. If you let him sleep in the bed, you may wake up to find him flat on his back with all 4 legs in the air. This boy sure knows how to make himself comfortable.  The BasicsAge: 5 yearsWeight: 24 lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesMicrochipped: YesVaccines Up-to-Date: YesOn Heartworm Prevention: YesOn Flea/Tick Prevention: YesHouse-Trained: YesCrate-Trained: YesLeash Skills: NoneMedical: Sam is mostly blind due to cataracts and previous corneal ulcers that left him with scarring, per his vet. He’s able to sense some shadow movements on his right side, but not in the dark. We did consult with a vet opthomologist - he's not a candidate for cataract surgery in his left eye, and even with surgery in his right eye, his vision would still be limited to far-sighted. Likes/DislikesToys: Likes buffalo horns, squeaky toys (with supervision), and playing tug of war.Other Animals: Gets along with dogs and cats.People/Kids: Loves adults. Not tested with children. Must have an adult-only home.Car Rides: Tolerates short car ridesSeparation: He does not like to be left alone and will let you know vocally as you leave the house. He's left out in his foster home and is not destructive. He settles down eventually and is usually sleeping when you come back home.  Contact/Application InfoQuestions?
