Story
To adopt please fill out an adoption application. Maddie is a 5yo female rat terrier mix who is being surrendered by her owner in Memphis who can no longer care for her. Maddie is twice the size of a rat terrier but that’s what she looks like… a big rat terrier!  Maddie is very affectionate with her people and loves to be close and cuddle. Medium activity level outside, calm inside. She’s fine with other dogs and living happily with another dog in the family. Good with kids and recommended for children 6 years and older.  Fine with cats. Not crated. Housebroken except for rare accidents. Obeys basic commands.  Loves to be with her people.  Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, spayed, weighs about 45 pounds.  Here’s a note from Maddie’s foster mom:  Maddie is as loyal as they come, sweet, affectionate, loves to cuddle and be close to her people. Loves a comfy spot with a pillow. She doesn’t know how to cover herself with blanket/sheet but does enjoy it if you cover her when it’s chilly (fan on, breeze, etc.). If bothered during her slumber, she may growl like a grumpy old lady but just tell her to “hush!” HA! Does not beg for food and will (very happily!) sit for treats & is gentle taking them. She needs to have you within eyesight when she’s eating her food. Loves to play fetch with her toys inside but doesn’t do the same with sticks outside. She’ll chase them but not pick them up & bring them back. Known to take one of your shoes to lay with when alone. Also known to snag a stick of butter off the counter! When left alone, she’ll mind her business and nap, but will definitely be awaiting your return! She’s good taking baths, likes ice cubes (so don’t worry about picking up any you drop!), bully sticks, and LOVES small squeaky toys! Story
Obiwan is about 5 years old and comes from a very loving family, where he has always been around children and noise. But has most recently been becoming more irritated by the children and becoming a bit snappy with them. We think he would do best with an adult couple who have experience with animals, with minimal noise and hubbub around their home. He is a terrier, which means he does have a very large voice and likes to let the world know when there are visitors, people walking by, etc... So full disclosure:he is a little barker.

Story
Cookie is an energetic, playful boy who is ready to play or snuggle at a moment’s notice. He is a wonderful balance of rambunctious and affectionate. While he may get over excited at times, he responds well to correction and guidance and is truly eager to please and be a part of a happy family. He is friendly and gets very excited to meet new people. His playstyle can be overwhelming to lower energy dogs. He has high energy and loves to chase balls and toys. He will thrive in an active household and will benefit from moderate to high levels of exercise. With proper guidance, Cookie will be a delightful addition to your family. Story
Hi there! I’m Frankie, a charming 4-year-old tri-color Rat Terrier. Weighing in at a perfect 15 pounds, I’m neutered, vaccinated, housebroken, crate-trained, and leash-trained, making me quite the well-mannered gentleman. I have a special request for my future family: you should have experience with Rat Terriers. I can be a bit protective of my people, but once I know you, I’m super friendly and incredibly cuddly. I thrive in calm environments, so a household without yelling or chaos would be ideal for me. I get along well with other dogs, especially females, but I’m not a fan of cats or young children. A fenced yard would be a dream come true, as I love to run and play. Did I mention I’m excellent at agility? Check out my video! I’m also super smart and would love to show off my skills! Currently, I’m being fostered in Connecticut, and I’m eagerly waiting to find my forever home. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, and intelligent companion, I’m your guy! Let’s make a perfect match. 🐾❤️ Can’t wait to meet you, Frankie

Story
Lola is my name. I love all and want to be friends with everyone. I am mischievous and will get into trouble just for the attention. I am still very young and eager to explore new things. I want a loving family who will take me on adventures, then love on me while winding down. I don't like it when you focus on other dogs and sometimes I push them out of the way so I can be the center of attention! I have the sweetest face and my "love to be with you" attitude is the best kind to have! I am a medium sized girl and that makes me super PORTABLE! Take me with you to the beach, the mountains, the BATHROOM... I don't care where we go, as long as you take me with you!! I'm a energetic and driven girl with a strong prey drive, particularly chickens, birds, small animals and cats. I'll need a home without these types of pets to ensure everyone's safety. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Look at us!! Terri and Frankie, we are two of the CUTEST and SWEETEST pups you will ever meet! We came from the pound when we were barely a week old, so you know we were bottle babies! And being bottle babies means one thing- YOU ARE OUR MAMA!!! (Bottle babies are very identified with their people, for they literally were saved and cared for day and LONG nights by a foster!) AS I was saying, we were BOTTLE BABIES and we still think we want to be carried like babies and loved on and cuddled and given special privileges :) We are red heeler mixed pups, won't grow too big so lap sitting will be our favorite pastime. We love other dogs, are young enough to love kitties and love kids. In other words, we are almost ready to be your bestest friend/s. Adopt, don't SHOP!!!
